I am having major problems with my infotainment system on my brand-new 2024 SX DMAX dab radio drops out and can never hold a signal. Sometimes the dropouts last 30/40 seconds and only come back for two seconds and then drop out again and addition to this Apple CarPlay will not connect unless it’s a cable, there is no wireless connection at all and even than still drops out this is dangerous. I’m trying to reset maps whilst driving and having to pull over. Is the only option please advise.

And once you reduce your tyre pressures the TPMS then alarms which can not be cleared or acknowledged and you loose the ability to adjust the vehicle settings or use the odometer function along with other things controlled via the drivers display. So if you’re away for an off road trip with low tyre pressures the useless annoying ’driver assist’ settings cannot be altered as they reset each time the vehicle is started. This is absolutely ridiculous for a 4WD vehicle, very poorly implemented. This desperately needs to be addressed with a software update.

It is actually even worse......in very steep/rutted dunes (like some in the Simpson Desert) the Emergency Breaking Warning can get triggered...that has the effect of reactivating Traction and Stability control TOTALLY the wrong thing to do on steep Dunes! With the setup menu locked out, due to low tyre pressure warning, you are constantly pushing/holding the button to disable... frustrating beyond belief...if not fixed will remove the TPMS and replace with third party solution to avoid menu lockout.

@@viffer781 I 100% agree, very frustrating when the emergency braking is constantly activated and re-engages the traction and stability systems, it is so poorly thought out, I’m amazed Isuzu has not actioned it. Maybe one of the bigger 4WD channel’s needs to do a review highlighting these flaws.

The only workable (and appropriate) solution I had was swap into low range for these dunes - low range keeps traction and stability disabled.

@@viffer781 absolutely but still a pain to constantly stop and change into & out of low range, even then the emergency brake alarm keeps going off… I’ve responded to multiple ‘customer surveys’ from Isuzu detailing this issue and the one response I received was ‘that is how the system is supposed to work’ obviously they’ve focused on the majority of drivers that don’t use their vehicles for what they are intended and clearly they don’t read the comments.

Suggest doing your research first before making inaccurate statments..Anything over 750 kgs needs electric brakes. Anything over 2 T Must be fitted with a brake away device on trailer being towed.

I used to have a 2008 Nissan Navara and I wanted a 2023 Dmax but the new price came in before I could purchase one at $64,990 so I bought a good 2022 registered February 2023 X-Terrain with 20,000 kilometres on it and I love it best car I have ever bought.
