I’ve been lucky, I’ve seen a lot of bands, one offs, reunions, things many will never see. But I’ll never get over not seeing this live. I can almost feel it. What a ridiculous racket

Watching the audience is half the fun. Amazing video. Unbelievable song.

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone know the setlist for “The Monsoon Bassoon”? Definitely some songs here I haven’t heard. Much love from Kansas City.

So are they looping that last note or taking turns or both.

If this is the one supported by the Scaramanga Six then I was there. I then moved to Devon and was looking forward to a concert in Plymouth in about 2008 before the devastating news about Tim was announced.

Most scarily unusual band I have ever heard in recent times. My fave prog band was always Van der Graaf Generator because of their unique sound and song structures and sheer power and menace with an unhinged demigod as their singer songwriter madman. Cardiacs fit the VdGG mould in a totally original way and the way this song spirals ever skyward into oblivion is as inspired as anything Peter Hammill ever wrote. The Brits can show the world how its done in our own batshit crazy way.

I found out too late god damn it... There are very few other bands I love as much (I'm OOOLLLDDD) but Timmy had soul along with the glorious music. My advice is to seek out Major Parkinson... I love them too and found out they found and loved Cardiacs after me so I was vindicated. Timmy loved them too. Now I find another new band I love loves Cardiacs. North Atlantic Oscillation grew on me slowly, but convinced me. All three deserve wider recognition.
