I know this is an old video but K9 Ballistics still has not updated their website. Their assembly instructions are outdated. They now have a new bed that is much easier to put together; you don't have to stuff anything in. The zippers open the entire bed. You just lay the bolsters in, zip them up, then lay the mattress on and zip that. There is an updated video. YT won't let me put a link but if you search for tik tok k9 ballistic bed assembly, you'll find it.

Same.. went both nights, first time seeing Billy Strings and was blown away, someone asked what it was like & my response was Pink Floyd + Willie Nelson + TOOL, I've seen the greats going back to the early 80s and this was by far one of the best shows I've seen.

Once we folded the long part in half and stuffed into cover, it was "easier". we still had to pull the covering corners from inside over the foam. But we were able to do it within about 3 minutes. I too was shocked we were able to do it.

How did they not make a simple zip cover for this like a pillow case? OMG 😅 I want to order the same size bed but I don’t want to struggle and break a sweat every time I need to wash it!

I gave up washing it, too difficult to take off and put back on. As such, I keep a bath sheet spread out on it. Much easier to throw in the wash 😀

You are very welcome! This bed is still going strong! It is the favorite dog bed in the house. I’ve still only taken it off once to wash it, wasn’t worth the effort to do again! I just wipe it down occasionally :D

I had help at the time I took it off to wash it, I honestly haven't taken it off again. Too much effort! If need be, these days I just wipe it down with a damp cloth.

So it seems like it’s pretty noisy? I’m looking for something for my dogs crate but it’s in our bedroom. I wonder if that will wake me up every time she moves around.

I found that once you have half of the mattress inside of the outer cover bend the entire bed in half and stand directly over top of it like a bull rider and grab the mattress end with one hand and cover with the other and use body weight to help push the bed inside while pulling the cover upward and over it with your other hand.. most times it goes sliding right in 👌🏻 P.s. i know I’m late with this comment and I’m sure you figured it out by now but for any new buyers i hope this helps.

The one i have, once he feels confortable in a new place a stranger is not allowed to get close so i need to keep an eye on him.

My one used to do that too. And if a stranger did try to pet him or if he judged a stranger dangerous he would bite his leg. He would never brake the skin but he would press on a nerv in the leg and that would temporarily paralise the persons arms.

I wish you a speedy assembly! Take heart, for all the work it took for me, it’s still the best dog bed I’ve ever purchased. Two and a half years later, it’s still nice and fluffy :)

@@elizabethbutler8952 My two Great Danes are loving them so far! I put their crate pad over top which fit inside the bolster and they love it. Also cut down on the noise and gave them a little warmth I think. Thanks for the reply!

Great job! I have had one for my lab who loves it, and just bought another for my other lab. My daughter assembled the first one, and I'm about to tackle the other. A great bed, other than the assembly.

I had the same thoughts on the instructions. Your video helps so much. t’s sort of amazing how they don’t provide even visual instructions much less a video. My dog does love the bed thanks to your help.

I’m glad my struggle was helpful :D My dogs still love their bed, even after a couple of years. Best part is, it’s held up. I’m glad your dog enjoys their’s too! (Especially with all the work that goes into getting it into that cover!)

OMG I'm laughing so haard-it took my husband and I TWO days to put our chewproof dog bed together-we were exhausted-it was us against the mattress! Wearing heavy garden gloves helped-gave us more traction and saved our fingernails!!!! We persevered and finally pushed, shoved and crammed it all in. My sympathies!!!!

What size bed is this? How has your experience been now that you have had it for a year?

NaligeIsPower I bought the XX-Large (40"x68"X5"). It has held up very well. It's still a fluffy 5" of foam (1" of which is memory foam). I did find it difficult to remove and put back on, even with two people. That being said, I'd buy it again. It fit my criteria. It is dirt, water, and fur repellent; memory foam (guaranteed not to flatten for 10 years); and it fit both my dogs (the largest bed I could find).

At least you were brave enough to try this in front of the camera. Yeah!!! You did a good job even though it made me laugh so it was a humorous video and with your honest comments....it just made it fun to watch remembering how frustrating similar tasks for me have been. Next time, I won't feel so alone when assembling something and not give up but remember you kept at it until you got it. Wonderful, humorous clip. Thank you.

You're supposed to put the bottom of the fold in first, instead of two end pieces. Fold it like a taco, then put the bottom of the taco in first and slowly shove more and more into the cover. I did this in less than two minutes.
