Its so hard to humble yourself especially when you lived as an atheist /agnostic for a bit more then half your life and my ego was everything basically lol.But Thanks to these videos and elder and saints wisdow im winning one small battle at time . I realized i beat him in me after few months and now hes attacking trough people around me and i wasnt expwcting it really .. i was like ahh thats how you playing and after being angry and judging a person who was rude to me and shouted to me i prayed to Jesus to help them and Jesus prayer to be calm .and next day the guy apologized to me .If i reacted it would just create a bigger fight and who knows what would happen .

New for me For today : starting around minute 42:26 : : “To be able to know ourselves we need to focus on Christ with Nepsis as we said , and with prayer . If we don’t have the experience of God WE WILL NOT HAVE THE STRENGTH to be able to see ourselves . So we 1st , we first get the gift of knowing God somehow , and then we find the strength to see ourselves. Self knowledge needs a huge amount of strength … that we can’t have if we don’t have the knowledge of God first because we need Gods strength to be able to handle the , how can I put it , the terrible thing , the disgusting thing inside us …….and it continues more helpful words Etc “ Glory to God and thank you , Your Grace

It is a slow Byzantine chant for the Divine Liturgy of St Basil the Great. “Holy, Holy, Holy Lord Sabaoth, Heaven and earth are full of Your Glory” etc. H G Bishop Emilianos adjusted the Byzantine notation from the Greek text to an English translation.

God is beauty and perfection like that..I speak to Him about this very thing in my heart and next thing I find is He sends me answers through people like his grace Bishop Emilianos. It happened a lot lately that I got almost all of my answers through his grace Emilianos. Things I wondered and asked God about for a few years sometimes. Honestly, I can't imagine how lucky those people are who have his grace Emilianos as their spiritual father, because I know God speaks through him. Just thankful🙏🏻

Excellent! Thank You very much Bishop Emilianos of Meloa! St. Paisios learned to be Obedient while someone were asking Him to do what he shouldn't asked, and in the end, the Humble Monk Paisios concluded that that person transformed Him being a human or how everyone should be. The benefits when we Humble ourselves (Humility = Silence with Peace + Happily Obedience) are so Greats. Thank You!

I wonder if 'God only gives you what you can handle' is referring to specifically what god commands you to do, and not to everything the world puts you through, like the worlds yoke versus gods yoke. That may just be a fanciful idea I made up using base logic.

Minute 21:15-28: 05. one of my favorite teachings here -“ How do you keep your conscience clean?”… Though I get new appreciation all the time on other talks , this section still speaks to me because I need still to practice it. So much said in a few minutes

I am so thankful for this series on nepsis, and has helped me so much. I am new to the church, and have been battling my thoughts. The evil one has tried to use my serious sinful past to make me feel unworthy, but I have repented of the sins years ago. I need to stop looking back, and keep my nous on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Thank you for your kind words Timothy. The book on Nepsis is not yet translated in English. However there are 2 other books of Elder Aimilianos you might enjoy: ‘The Way of the Spirit’ and ‘The Mystical Marriage: Spiritual Life according to St Maximos the Confessor’.

I wonder what Bishop Emilianos means by God does not punish or how he would think about the creed where it says 'to judge the living and the dead'. Or in Revelation where Jesus gives His verdict on the 7 churches. Or in the Gospel of Luke where Jesus talks about those who know the Lord's will but don't do it will be beaen with many stripes.
