This is the best recipe book I’ve ever seen, definitely the most unique. I love the expandable section for recipe cards etc. I think that die piece is the trim/stripe that goes across the top of the mixer. Real ones have that, usually in chrome.

This is such an awesome junk journal. I love the open/closed sign on the front with the chain. You added such cool pieces of things in it. I love the size.

I love your mitten album. Perfect color palette for black & white photos. Paper Wishes was the very first online shop I ordered from and have for along time now. I have so many dazzles to last me a lifetime. Lol. I remember SaCrafter’s too.

I loved seeing all the vintage photo’s in your gorgeous altered book. The front cover is stunning. Does it still smell musty? I don’t like that old smell. I have so many products from K & Company. I loved their stuff.

I’m watching some of your older videos for inspiration. This album is adorable. It’s so cute in the smiley face heart shape candy container. It’s so appropriate for kids.

Since I’m an avid reader I absolutely love this book journal. So many great ephemera pieces that relate to the subject of your journal. I cracked up at the flamingo story, such a fun memory for your family. Your sister or did you say sister-n-law, is going to love this. I keep track of all the books I’ve read with dates and I keep track of books I need to complete a series. I take that to thrift stores with me so I can see if they have any of the books I need/want. I just use a spiral notebook, nothing fancy.

I think I have a sheet of that same green paper that you used for the inside cover with the alphabet.

What an adorable title page to introduce your favorite books. I have been an avid reader since I learned how to read. We read the Dick and Jane books in grade school. I remember my very first book series was the Laura Ingall Wilder books. I would read aloud to my mom, especially when I was waiting for the school bus. I still have quite a few of my Little Golden Books. Some are in really good condition and others are pretty worn. We had the World Book Encyclopedia’s from the 50’s and was used a lot by my brothers and I for school like you were saying. I used to read to my son starting from when he was an infant. When he was a toddler he loved when I read to him because I would change my voice to each of the characters and make the different sounds. His favorite book was Silly Gooses. I’ve saved it for him, he’s now 31. Unfortunately as he got older he didn’t enjoy reading. However, he did read all the Harry Potter and Twilight books. I always have a book going, I absolutely love reading books.

The finger “game” is know as finger fortune teller. I remember it being called a “cootie” catcher. No one wanted the cooties in grade school. I love your album and brings back wonderful memories. I found the silo to the fisher price barn recently along with a couple of the animals. It would be cool to make an album cover from an old board game. Thanks for sharing

Thank you for giving me the name! That's cool that you found the barn silo. A great place to store things. Are you going to search for a barn too? Hope you have a great Christmas!

@ you’re welcome! I would like to find a barn ..I loved how the door made the “moo” sound when opening! But I will use the silo for some type of scrapbook supply storage until then..lol. I found a book set of Drowsy doll paper dolls (not punched out)

The NASA library pocket, how cool is that. I’ve been wanting to dip my hands into making a junk journal, but I just don’t know where to begin. It feels intimidating. I guess I should just start going through all my stuff that I save, then start looking for things. I got some old books at a yard sale for free a couple of weeks ago. One is a first edition from 1925. That’s the year my mom was born so I’m not sure I want to pick that one apart. But I do have a collection of old books. My next door neighbor threw a bunch of books away and I grabbed a few, especially the gardening books and a super old dictionary.and some old 1950’s encyclopedias. So I guess I have a good start. My son is always asking why am I bringing all this old junk home and I tell him it’s not junk, it’s treasures. Lol. He just rolls his eyes. Lol.

You must have been working on this album for a long time because I can’t find any videos relating to it other than the Scooby Doo? If you could let me know I would appreciate it. I would love to see a walk through of your album though.

Hi Lisa, yes, I've been working on it off and on for awhile now. I did do a video on children's books. I linked it in the description and I'll add it here. Thank you so much for all your comments! I'll make sure to record when I decorate the pages then. Would love to hear some of your favorite boomer cartoons and books! kzbin.info/www/bejne/foeZdoV8l9ishbMsi=cL9B6XvlIjsjKyRh

Oh wow I love this idea. This title page you created is awesome and was so fun to watch. I love it. I’m not up with all the Gen X and Gen Z stuff, I just know I’m a Baby Boomer (1960) and a leap year baby at that. Where did you get all these pictures of shows, music etc. I assume off the internet? I love all the retro die cuts and ephemera you have. I have some, but not this much. I do have that same BoBunny stamp set, got it at Tuesday Morning, looks like you did too. I miss that store. I’ll have to go back and watch some of your videos about this album.

I love this album, it’s beautiful. I have so many of these same supplies like the scrapbook papers, sewing dazzles, K&Co ephemera, charms and more. I bought all this sewing related stuff a long time ago to make my mom an album. But then she got sick and passed away so I never made it. She sewed and quilted all her life. Your cousin is going to absolutely love this. What a super special gift for her. I love that you put some pictures of her sewing projects in it already for her.
@Molczan3525 ай бұрын
Thank you! I've made a scrapbook page of my grandma and used swatches of flour sack material she had saved. I'm hoping to use more of my sewing supplies to make another journal with photos of all the sewing and crochet items I have from family and document who made them, etc. I'm sure you've got a lot of items if your mom quilted all her life...such treasures!
@lisadelong14555 ай бұрын
@@Molczan352 Yes I have all her quilts, sampler quilts, afghans, doilies, her scrapbook albums plus so much of her supplies. I even have her 1950’s Singer sewing machine that she sewed on all the time. When she passed away one of my brothers and his wife wanted a quilt and a sampler quilt. My other two brothers wanted me to take everything else home, now they are deceased. I have all her quilts in two huge cedar chests. My son knows what they’re worth so hopefully he can seek a buyer when I’m no longer here. I love your idea of making a journal of all the items you have from your family and documenting who made them.
