This makes me realize how the Blind Banker episode made sure to prove Sherlock that he can count on John. Though John may not have the deduction and brain function of Sherlock's levels, he IS good! The moment with Van-Coon's diary, the moment with the picture of the wall by the train trails. It's a good way to show John was not just a doctor and a tag-along but a good help!

Sherlock is actually very annoying and also entertaining with Watson I realised now so mycroft was right Watson do help Sherlock feel like yeah human not just a computer though hated the way mycroft treated Sherlock badly. They were good.

love Sherlock correcting that one guy’s grammar. doesn’t MATTER if you’re texting me, you either use the right you’re/your and spell things correctly or you want to be made a fool and get angry at me. doesn’t *matter* if you’re a “cool” guy, your slang doesn’t work on me. just like the guy’s slang with Sherlock. saying a sentence like “”if it weren’t for him,” instead of “if it wasn’t for him.” i use slang, i admit, but not like that. i use “yall” or “bro lmaooo” but neVer incorrect grammar unless i want to see the person i correct corrects ME. Sherlock is me confirmed.

Sherlock wasn't correcting the condemned man just because he was butchering the English language. It was to test his patience and see if he couldn't get a rise out of him. The man's story was about killing his wife after she "provoked" him for saying he wasn't a real man. He later tells John that it wasn't worth his time. Why? Because he'd already confirmed that the man had no self control and would have likely killed Sherlock if he'd had another knife in his hands. Plus, if you remember from A Study In Pink, he told John that he helped Mrs Hudson with ensuring her husband's execution after a similar situation.
