a shortcut to get to the mods folder is win+r and in run type %appdata% and click the Minecraft folder at the top

Kinect only games won't work and the adapter won't have a response. So, sadly Microsoft fully killed Kinect 😢 (by x I assume you mean the series x not the one x)
