@@sarahburchette8402 what do you do with the leaves you get from other houses? I remember telling you that I'll be putting leaves on my gardens to winterize them, but I haven't done it yet. For the most part, I leave the leaves, but if I try this this year on my gardens, then I'll have to disturb some of the critters sleeping.

@gloriairizarry4576 Absolutely correct. And I especially enjoy the fact that I can work outside later in the year due to the weather in tennessee. If I still lived in illinois, everything would be shut down by october and not wake up again until march from all the snow and cold.

I'm old watching this..lol. but we just started coming across videos and said we need to see if ours is good bc we've had it 2.5 years and never cleaned it 😮! I started to see what looked like bacteria in the water also so figured ummmm yea. I ran bleach and water, vinegar water and STILLLL have brown water coming out with black floaties 2 gallons of cleaning. Im over it, we aren't using it again bc I can't get it clean which is stressing me out. Bc what has been in our water that we couldn't see!!
@TinyDreamer27 күн бұрын
@juliangena i completely understand what you mean. After this video I tried running the water through the machine and there was still residue coming out of it, so I ended up throwing the machine away after having it for 5 years. I switched to a berkey filter and keep that on the counter and just filter city water. I was really hoping that the way that I cleaned it would help but it didn't seem to help at all. Because you're right, we just can't see what's in the water or in the tubes or in the system, because it's not like we're going to take the whole machine apart to find out where to clean it. Try a berkey filter water system. I love it!

@TinyDreamerАй бұрын
@fiorellacr-f346 the smell isn't really noticeable when the toilet lid is closed.... Not only because it's closed, but because there's a fan inside the toilet area that vent out the odors, as well as helping to start the drying process.

Well done, it's not easy, you've come so far, and it looks real tidy now 😊 I am on my own declutter journey, I did 19 pairs of jeans and 11 coats also 2 black bags of other clothes this week have gone, I'm at paperwork/ mags and books next, so hard for me, watching these viseos spurs me on thank you for sharing 🤗🍄🌈
@TinyDreamerАй бұрын
Thank you!! You're right...its not easy, especially when we start making excuses to keep stuff we don't really need. That's my problem. I have to make the decision to finally let things go... and be okay with it. It's harder in the beginning, but the more that you declutter and downsize, it becomes so much easier to get rid of the things that we don't actually need or use. And it sounds like you are doing an amazing job because that is a lot of clothes to give away. I also like that you are working on section by section... Because it's easier to categorize things when you downsize, imo. You got this!!! 👊🎉🎊🥰
@kariwick-InnerPeaceCoachingАй бұрын
The struggle is real❣️ Even though i have lived small and simple for many years, and haven’t bought anything new (except to replace something, like clothes), some days i wonder where all my remaining crap came from❣️❣️❣️ And every change of season i clean and purge regularly❣️ Do you have a memories/sentimental box? That way you can keep, and contain, things like the perfume and cruise photos. Kari🌞
@TinyDreamerАй бұрын
Thank you! Yes, i have started to purge more regularly, whereas I never used to before. And it's all because of this tiny house minimalist lifestyle. I would remove layers upon layers right before going tiny because I collected everything and didn't throw anything away. And now I can't wait to throw things away because it just doesn't have a space in my house. I do have several spaces where I keep things that are important to me. And i'm so glad that I hung on to them. I just always make more excuses when I have more space to save or collect things. 💙🙃
@GinascottageАй бұрын
So the purpose of this was to take things out of boxes and put them in plastic totes?
@TinyDreamerАй бұрын
@Ginascottage the purpose was to go through the 6 boxes.... contemplate what to throw away because I no longer need it, contemplate on what to give away or sell because I no longer use it.... And then store it in a creative way so that it didn't cause clutter like it was before. 🙂

You should grow food in the area that floods. That's rich soil
@TinyDreamerАй бұрын
Thanks for the idea! I was planning on making a pond type garden once I created a specific area where water could flow over rocks instead of mud. Then growing in the rocks, and that water, I was going to have water plants. But I didn't think about growing actual food in that area, so thank you!! 😍🍃
@changethematrixАй бұрын
What weeds? Most of what are called weeds are actually beneficial plants. If Dandelion id growing, that is a great plant. It has a deep tap root and bring nutrients up to the soil to feed your plants that have shallower roots
@TinyDreamerАй бұрын
I completely agree with your comment 100%..... I said weeds, because to the viewers' eye, they look like weeds. I didn't want to have to explain my reasoning behind not calling them weeds so i just called them weeds.That's why I included "wildflowers" and "plants". But I definitely agree with you that they are all usable medicine and food. 💙🏡
