The Golf I, II & V aren't bad, but the rest are absolute trash. I had 2 Golf VI's in a six month period in 2009 and they never worked. Bought a Focus Mk2.5 and kept it for 7 years and 410,000km. It was a Euro Focus, so very much not what you were subjected to in the late 2000's.
