I read of Cossipore in M's "Gospel of Ramakrishna": thank you for the reflections of Ramakrishna's days at the garden house. Swamiji was amazing! Whether receivinging Ram Nam from the Master and slipping into samadhi, or politically organizing the Vedanta Society with Holy Mother as the Head of the entire Order there was nothing he couldn't do. This series has been a solid basis for personal transformation for me. I began attending at the start & it remains the most important part of my week 2 years later. Sanjay's words at the beginning are worth reflecting upon, thank you Sanjay. Sometimes the lectures make me cry others make me laugh, but they all manage to put words to what I feel in my heart. Thank you Swami ji, for everything. I listen to the good spiritual food to fed my mind. I take to heart, not so fast, oh enlightened one, monsters, morons & machines and everyday think about oneness and listen to the sound of the universe. Thank you.

The sutras here are especially wonderful. This entire lecture series is fantastic. I wish I could find a brief outline of the material covered in each lecture so I could do further reading of the things Swami ji mentions. Even just a list of terms and names would be helpful because I can't always discern the different names of the people Swami Ji is discussing. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this lecture series!

Swami Tattwamayanandaji has beautifully summarized the essence of verses 8 to 11 of chapter 12 of the Bhagavad Gita by first describing the descending order as seen in the chapter and then giving the ascending order to help seekers with their spiritual practice. Maharaj’s explanation provides much clarity and helpful guidance, very grateful.🙏🏼

There's everything to appreciate about elevating and sanctifying about work, indeed every aspect of our lives, and surrendering and offering it to God, but isn't there still the proposition of right livelihood to consider? Should someone involved in bomb-making, check-forging, or presiding over a genocide offer these vocations to God? Aren't how we offer and what we offer part of the process of discrimination, refinement, and purification?

Hello, In this short videos series, we will be posting short snippets from Bhagvad Gita which are useful to inculcate the knowledge in regular life. This particular snippet is from Chapter 12 and deals with devotion path. In earlier chapters of Gita, Sri Krishna explains righteous actions to Arjun and how can we determine righteous action. We eventually aim to bring important parts from entire Bhagvad Gita so we will cover that aspect in later videos as well. What you have brought up is very valid point and using ones intellectual discernment to identify right from wrong should also be perceived as devotional offering to lord. It would have been useful if a chosen mantra is chanted in rig, yajur, sama and athervana vedas, instead of just recounting what is already there in Vedic literature.

World is illusion (said by Vijanavadis) = World exist only from Vyavahrika Not from Parmarthika pov. Both are the same....just verbal jugglery is done. Buddhists and Advaitains are the same. Advaitins just do mental gymnastics.

What is your evidence of your so-called oneness & unity? Sakshi Pratyaksha you guys accept not. The resort is Scripture but Scriptures itself is part of the lower reality for you& the product of Maya and hence, Maya deludes. So, your idea of oneness and unity is just a delusion. Logically, you guys can't prove so, The last resort is Enlightenment experience 😂 No one knows what really happens, maybe just hallucinations

If learning and understanding is a constant activity through the ages, you would automatically get to a higher level of refining. Not everyone will be able to do that but it is a logical consequence of 'sifting through' wisdom and knowledge. An inate tendency to search for truth is one of the forces pushing that.

Swami Vivekananda jumped in the vacuum in the west, around the turn of the century. There was an elevated hausse in interest for the 'orient' and 'things spiritual'. The right incarnation at the right moment 🙂

Most wars were because of 'gods' and not 'God'. And hiding behind 'gods' were powers that were craving for rule and resource. The 'gods' were simply the perfect coatrack to hang the story that served as justification for massacring others.

Surely 'Vedanta' is not a terminology 'invented' by Swami Vivekananda? It was pre-existing yes? From 'vedic' times coming before?

I do not believe that Swami Vivekananda could not foresee the 'terrible'. He was well connected in the west through various organized institutions amongst which the theosophists. And those, in their turn, got their funds from world players who were in control of moving chess pieces on the globe.

Thank you Swami ji for this very clear lecture. Your explanation of the Four Noble Truths and the 12 Links of Dependent Origination is very helpful. Gautama the Buddha is now a world teacher, and through him, the teaching of the Upaniṣads in a humanistic form has taken root in every country in the world.
