If you don't want to get stuck in a lightning storm you should move out of the way when you see a lightning storm coming.

I've gotten stuck on a lake in a surprise storm. Everyones hair was standing on end and I could feel the electricity in the air. The boat pilot floored it heading back to the dock while everyone else got as low as they could. It was bad and lightning everywhere. Of course, by the time we got back to the dock, the storm had passed. I've been indirectly hit before by lightning and it's no fun at all. Ever since, I've had too many close calls.

What color lures seam to work best for peacock?
@thadeusragan Жыл бұрын
Silver, blue silver, white, pink, black, chartreuse, and green. They hit many different colors but these are the colors that pop in my head. It’s mainly about the action you put on the bait.

Do they bite the same baits there?
@letsfish808 Жыл бұрын
@@thadeusragan I believe that the peacock bass are more picky here but they bite small lures & if there really picky live bait.

I recently changed my hubs. I picked up pregreased hubs. After I added some grease I had some grease come out the back. Did I not get the castle nut tight enough to seat the hub?
@thadeusragan Жыл бұрын
Either that or the wrong size seal.
@thadeusragan Жыл бұрын
I’ve seen times when if you put too much grease you could blow the seals out. Especially if you have bearing buddies
@chaselake7040 Жыл бұрын
It's the kind that the grease goes through the spindle.

Yes!!! I’ve been there! I was 21 years old, driving to college class 5:30 a.m. my nursing school classes, an hour away. Pitch dark and nobody on the road but me in a small rural farming area in Kansas. Lightening must have hit my car, a 66 Mustang, and my car stalled out, lights went off, and pitch dark so I couldn’t see anything! My very long hair was standing on end and my entire car was electrified. I heard a voice beside me (angel maybe), say not to just sit there, but put my hands on the wheel and at that point, I blanked out. In about one second, it seemed like, I had moved about 15 miles and was on the edge of college town I attended. The sun was coming out. To this day, I have no idea how my car moved so far. At the point I got to town though, I heard my engine restart and the lights and radio came back on!!!!! True story, I promise!!!! Glad you made it back to shore safely!!!!!
@thadeusragan2 жыл бұрын
Now that's a freaky crazy thing to have happened! I'm glade the lighting didn't knock me out. I been shocked a couple of times by lighting over the years but never more than if getting shocked by a light socket.

Invasives are depressing, just thinking about how much diversity there'd be without them. Up north it's White Perch dominating lakes and Carp anywhere, eating all good nurseries for small fish. People only want to eat those few White Bass and Catfish left though.. assholes.

@thadeusragan2 жыл бұрын
LOL! I don’t think it was that crazy but thanks. Now, if I would have survived a bolt hitting me, that would have been radio worthy. My friend Jeff was struck while fishing and survived. They found him laying in his burnt up boat with his hair and clothes burt off. He was helicoptered to the hospital. That’s the story I was thinking about while I was working my way back to the truck. Thanks for the comments.
