I'm 33. I have chronic constipation. Last month or so it has got a bit worse probably due to my anxiety im not sure. If I need a test done. I'm thinking this instead of colonoscopy unless absolutely need it. Is anything inserted into rectum?

Colonoscopy isn’t bad at all . The worst part is prepping which means drinking all the things to clear your bowels . If anything I dread this

I had two previous colonoscopies. And tomorrow I am having my first CT-Enterography. Believe me, sedated and anesthetized while colonscopy is nothing compared to lying down for 60 min and injected with an agent just lying there doing nothing at all. In colonscopy, you remember nothing and feel nothing, just sleep and wake up 20-30 minutes later.

This is not echo planar imaging but a standard imaging sequence.

Hi. I had an MRI enterography done last week but tech had me lay on my back for 60 minutes. Does this mean he did it wrong? you say it is usually done laying on my stomach. Also, the result came out normal even though I still have various abdominal symptoms. can it show all aspects of GI disease or inflammation, uclers, gastritis, infected diverticulosis, etc..

What is the cost for this type of procedure? is this the same procedure as a CT scan abdomen & pelvis with contrast?

$1200. IT SHOWS MORE THAT A ct SCAN PLUS IT IS MUCH SAFER SINCE THERE IS NO RADIATION INVOLVED.
