i reuse it a couple of times (3 uses). If you aren't leaking, then I don't necessarily see a need. But an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. It is recommended to change them each time, however. Let's face it... I change my own oil because I am cheap, so if I can stretch out the use of it, I will. Thanks for the comment.

@@ericbleueldoesstuff9152 Makes sense. I ended up getting some anyways because whoever did the oil last time gave it the ole impact treatment and the old gasket was wrecked. Ordered some off amazon and it seems fine. Just finished changing. Hopefully all goes well. I did however find a few posts in the mazda2 and yaris community stating that the 4.4 qts recomendation is without the filter and the filter holds the other .6 of the oil. I used the 5 and the line is pretty much right at the top of the full hole in the dipstick. Think its good? Thanks alot for the video!

I'm no expert, but i would use something like WD40 or PB Blaster. I also recommend a 6 point socket over a 12 point. The screws are very short and very fine thread. You'll notice that each screw made a snap sound as it cracked loose. I can't imagine it being too tight for a small 1/4" drive ratchet . I wish I had something better to tell you. Good luck, and thanks for watching.

I have a Trane XE 90 I want to order a inducer motor for a backup. I don’t see a hp rating or rpm on it. Mine is ok yet but I’d like to order one before they are no longer available. I had a service crook try to sell me a blower motor that I had replaced a few years ago. Quoted me $450 It cost me $129 I found that the control board had shorted out and ordered it on Ebay. I am trying to replace 2nd row seat belt buckle. The original one is broken. There is a torx bolt in the middle of the seat. The website says it is 23 mm trox bit. Is Allen wrench OK to remove it? Thanks.
@ericbleueldoesstuff9152
@ericbleueldoesstuff9152 Жыл бұрын
I've had some success using allen in torx bolts, but I've never used an allen on something that is as tight as a seatbelt . That said, 23 mm can't be right. Thats 2.3 cm which is close to an inch. I've seen seatbelt torx-head bolts that use a T-50 bit where they mount to the floor or top of shoulder strap. If 23mm was a typo and you meant 2.3mm, that would be equivalent to a T-8 bit and pretty low torque so an allen key would probably be ok in a pinch, but be prepared for damage to the screw or tool. I hope that helps.

HVAC companies are such rip offs it's unreal! There ought to be laws against gouging consumers so bad on critical stuff like heating. If you could buy it retail for $170 their cost is probably $135 tops. It's maybe 0.75hr job plus 1 hrs travel for a tech that their full labor cost can't be over $60/hr. Add in 35% for profit and 35% for overhead and 8% for tax and you're at ~ $450 as a reasonable cost for this job IMHO.

@@ericbleueldoesstuff9152 NP, I really find your approach refreshing. I'd like to add a tip for people who bother to read the comment section. Plastic parts are extremely unforgiving to overtightening. When my son and I followed your steps to replace the burnt out beam, we found that the previous owner (or perhaps a shop mechanic) had cracked one of the plastic bolt holes. My tip is to opt for undersized tools, especially when working with plastic parts. For example, a 1/4 ratchet handle will give you a much more sensitive feel for tightness than a 3/8 ratchet handle. It only needs to be snug on these plastic assemblies. Thanks again!

You're right about the plug it is 13mm. seen other uploads where they use a 14 or 15 but it really is 13mm. trial by error proved that today as I am about to start changing my own oil on this same car that I've had since new. Oil changes are getting expensive now, no more 29 dollar oil changes they're now upwards of $100.00. I got everything I need now to do the job but I am using a pair of car ramps instead of a jack, which raises the car at a much higher height, only thing I need is the 13mm wrench. Watch the upload of my first at home oil change

@ericbleueldoesstuff9152
@ericbleueldoesstuff9152 2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily, but its my understanding that a stuck valve can cause leaks all over, and burning oil. Its easy to check if pcv is working. Shake it and it should rattle freely. On older type systems that have pcv attached to a tube/hose , you can pull it out with the engine running and feel vacuum on the opening of the valve. Its a cheap part and if you're unsure, 50k to 60k miles might consider changing . Lots of differing opinions on that.
