No this isn't a hack or anything. I just made the tunes from the ground up and copied the parts but with 8 bit sounds like sine waves and square waves. And the bideo is just a still image from the internet that i put a mosaic filter on to give the illusion of pixel resolution beong lower. I've already done sonic 1 and will finish 2 and 3&K over the next few weeks and some other games from there. Hope that answers your queries

its not a demake of sonic 2, its a completely different game.

it's just the genesis ost 8 bit demake and not the game

Not quite (although i did love the master system 8bit sonic games back in the day) The MS/GG versions only have a noise channel and then 3 other channels for notes whilst I've ignored that restriction, those versions are also slightly different to the megadrive version of the game whilst I've trh to keep a lot of the parts it doesn't have, as well as making it my own (more noticeable in the zone demakes half way through). And I've remade the genesis version not just copied the 8 bit version so, there are loads of tunes the 8 bit version of sonic just doesn't have e.g. the final zone music But you're right, it was definitely the vibe i was aiming for
