See also pretty precise video description 😉 For polyrhythm see Adam Neely‘s videos like kzbin.info/www/bejne/jWOzm5V_e9N8i7s or kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZime3uEd6qXpcU

Additional Info: the time signature per track is one thing. Another thing is you can easily program triplets and quintuplets with the Q80. C‘mon you can hear the hihat‘s polyrhythm clearly. I even take in and out each component to demonstrate it 😉

Did you ever figure out how to disable the 8 beat countdown when recording?

I used the Q80 for programming only. But I remember that Kaeai quirk from the R100 drum machine…
@dpalaoroАй бұрын
@@elekktrikk_home_video Ohh you did your sequencing with the step sequencer as opposed to the realtime? Yeah, the realtime when recording a midi sequence always has the countdown. ugh.

Hello, I recently bought one of these awesome synthesiser keyboards for £25 well, I actually paid £30 as a person met me at a local train station and she bought batteries for it. I proudly owned one of these years ago and I missed having it as it has fantastic features on it. What has happened to the display? It looks like only one Half is working? Mine is in mint condition and I got the box and the proper power supply with it. I’m certainly not going to make good use of it and put it through effects and make some demos with it.

Improvised. Could be influenced by Bach beginner‘s pieces, minuet in G (Petzold) and such stuff and Haendel (Sarabande) because that’s what I was practicing back then each day for 10 minutes.

Don’t know. Don’t have a DFAM. The functions are the same. Down to the strange decision for no reset sequence function (=all sequences 8 steps long 🤦♂️) 😅

It would be cool if you could show the patch with all the crazy visuals and then show us how you programmed it. I’m really curious if the OpSix’s operators can sync to time divisions (1/2, 1/4, etc) like Ableton’s Operator’s individual oscillators can.
@elekktrikk_home_video5 ай бұрын
Oh, these things always happen either in hyperfocus and/or flow. If I don't record while tinkering, all is lost and I usually cannot recreate it weeks later. I am working on a routine to at least record everything with audio, better audio+video. But I want to have the most minimal setup. My Tascam i/o for iPhone works only with older phones, with them battery is a problem etc. When I resurrect the OPSix sometime, I will look into my old patches. And develop from there.

@@djpopcorn Elektron‘s drum synths are: syntakt (analog and digital drum synth machines without sampling capabilities), digitone (FM, without sampling capabilities, also includes melodic polyphonic capabilities), and model:cycles (like converged simplified digitone), and analog rytm (analog and digital drum synthesis AND sampling like digitakt before digitakt‘s last huge update).

You need the samples on your computer and to transfer them to the unit with the Elektron software. So in a way: yes, but you cannot sample directly into the unit.
