Well done to those involved. I know it's four years ago. Can remember these at Coltishall - miss the noise around the area :(

I was at Laarbruch from 87 to 90. 2 Squadron had them till May 88 until re equiping with Tornado GR1a

The music detracts in a major way - please lose it and just stick with the sounds of the aircraft. Great work regardless.

The inboard Flaps were a bugger for cracking, along the line where the flap met the upper wing. changed out so many, the wing fences were another thing that cracked

What would it take to make this aircraft airworthy and if it could be would it be banned from flying by the CAA anyway ?
@richardvernon3172 жыл бұрын
CAA would let it fly if BAe, RR and Martin Baker would support it and if we had the money to refit the aircraft with airworthy parts. Unfortunately none that will ever happen.

Superb!! Is the intention to return the Jag to flight??
@richardvernon3173 жыл бұрын
Nope, can't do it legally as the Manufacturer will not support the aircraft and there in no documentation for a lot of the parts refitted, Can't do it physically as most of the Nav / Attack Avionics is missing and without those the primarily flight information display (HUD) doesn't work and most of the fuel tanks are blanked off

The Indian Air force is still going strong with jaguars. They are planning for Darwin 3 upgrade and plan to use them till 2030 before retiring them.
