Thanks for the helpful video. Question about running the cable to the rear camera across the top of B pillar like you did: Does that run across any curtain air bag. People have said that that a deploying bag will blow through a camera cable, but I like to run the cable behind the bag if I can. I'd like to avoid taking the pillar cover off to find out if I can. Thanks.

Hi thank you for this video. It was very easy to install. I do have a question tho. Do the camera stay on At all times and if so will it during the battery? Also does the camera get hot? I was very hot outside today so maybe that’s why it got hot but I wasn’t sure.

Excellent video. Just a couple of thoughts based on my experiences. The captive screws only take 5 rotations to remove/tighten - I don't bother with a power tool. And if you're somewhere that have leaves fall off the trees, have a shop vac ready to clean out the compartment before actually removing the filter. Mine had a quite a few dried leaves to be sucked out. And after removing the filter, be ready to vacuum any small shreds that might be attached near the seal. And maybe check to see if any debris fell from the filter pleats back into the compartment and clean it again after the install.

I have Audi A4 from 2015 but B9 model and I will tell you if you are driving this car nicely, that said by the speed limit, in my country with good fuel you can pass more than 1480km with full tank. Because with nice driving the fuel consumption doesn't go over 3 liters per 100 km. This car is a beast as for the performance of how long it can go with a full tank.

Thanks very much for the tutorial! Worked like a charm on my 2018 Audi A5 Cabriolet. The only thing I would caution (I used a K&N E-0648 Air Filter) is you have to make sure the smaller slide friction clips on the bottom are lined up. The first time I put the K&N on, I missed one of the clips; it slid above the grove portion of the clip. Other than that, your video was spot on and thank you again for posting it!

Maybe buy another filter cover and cut some of the plastic on the top away so the sound can come through. I know it is not the best for performance, but it would still have some heat cover around like some performace filters do. I think I will try that out. But first I have to ask the price for that filter cover.

The difference isn’t so much in performance. The benefit is mostly in the fact that it can be cleaned and reused.
