I'll bet none of these terrorists understand Texas penal code 38.02 which clearly states that citizens DO NOT have to ID to police unless they are under arrest for a crime or the driver of a vehicle which commits a traffic violation. We don't need more police terrorizing the citizens of Arlington. Another waste of tax dollars.

Tragic for all involved. Equally abysmal that it took so long for this chief to defend his officers and release the camera footage. It’s not like the facts were going to change. “They're not going to change today, they're not going to change tomorrow and they're not going to change six months from now.”. Can Arlington PD get a chief that actually cares about its police??

He was it the rehab I work at. He suffered from cognitive issues and seemingly wanted to die. Sadly our officers deal with this often. He was a good man, actually and it is very sad that he put his life and others lives in danger like this.

When seconds count, the police are minutes away. Even their own bait cars go unprotected! Show up too late with the lights shining, then please don't be surprised when those two stellar examples of humanity feel disinclined to reappear. I would bet good money that the prints are in the system for one or both perps, so why'd y'all not go a-dusting? Are you sure you wanted to publish this?

So the officer "ran the plate" and the vehicle (not the driver, or the registered owner) was involved in a n@rcotics investigation. He then "observed" (followed until they touched the yellow line, or forgot to signal a turn) a traffic violation during which he "smelled the odor of m@riju@na" a statement which bears no actual proof other than taking the officer at his word. Which then gives them "probable cause" to toss every compartment, cubby, and nook looking for whatever they cang find to charge you with. All with a smile. Sometimes. I'm not justifying, promoting, or praising the criminal's action, I'm merely pointing out that this wasn't a random traffic stop. It was a planned invasion with expectations of finding something and taking someone to j@il. And in my opinion that's a violation of civil rights. In my opinion
