Napkin math says you're burning about 9000 liters per hour. Hard to believe a ferry operator could afford that.

more like 7000, and that is at MCR, which is probably not what the ferry is operating at continually, more like 80/85%. Then it would make it to be 6000 ltrs per hour, which is not too bad i think.

I really hate videos like this, because they explain nothing, and put on some awful music you wouldn't listen to in a thousand years. This could have been a good video if the guy would explain what is going on, and get rid of that pathetic music.

It's a Catamaran High Speed Ferry, but ugly AF. The Fjord Cat that it replaced looked much better, if you ignore the Paint Job. It's been sold, renamed "Skåne Jet" and repainted in a much better Livery.

This engine is a sequential turbo. The right turbo is always running, at 3:44 they cut in the left turbo once the engine reaches past a certain speed. These engines are 11 inch bore and 13 inch stroke, typically idling at 300 RPM with full speed being 1000 to 1050 RPM.

Kanskje det ville vært mulig å lage en lengre video, med start, tomgang, normal kjøring, full kjøring........ Jeg synes lyden av dieselen har noe avslappende. Bare klem en GoPro til rekkverket, med utsikt over motoren og de to turboladerne og la den gå ;-)
