Carriacou and Bequia two of my most favourite islands on that side of the Caribbean. I sailed there multiple times crewing on an Oyster 56, we'd do 10-12 knots and always raced catamarans.

Holiday looking great. Nice sail to start your sailing season proper. Its sad when that nice place got hit by the storm. Nice video, thanks for showing details of work. Nice orientation comments in the video. Because importing important stuff into countries in the Caribbean takes months and a "delivery" run to Florida (or VI) would take 10-12 (or 4) days, I start to consider just hauling butt over and back. Lets' see.

As much as I know you both treasure you time and experiences in the Granada area of the past years, I appreciate how and why this would be emotional for you. It was for me as well especially since seeing the devastation that Beryl did earlier this month. They’ve done it before so I pray they are able to rebuild their country and maintain their beautiful traditions ❤️❤️❤️. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, otherwise I might never have known of these lovely island people.

Off topic… Zach… if I might inquire, what technique do you and Lindy use to get back into the portabote? Appreciate your insight!
@FunonholidayАй бұрын
It's a little awkward, but we both do it no problem. Grab the side, kick with our feet at the same time we pull the side down, and push our upper body in with our arms. With fins, the kick jumps you up pretty easy but can do without fins. We usually land on the middle seat with our chest then squirm around until we are seated. The squirming with fins on I'm sure looks hilarious.

Yes i saw the tour they did after the storm and its terrible how hard it was hit! I love Mayerau and Carriacou (where I usually stay) and I’ve always been going for a trip to Mayerau, once me and my friend was sleeping in hammocks on the beach, so lovely memories. I know they will do everything to rebuild, they need support though! 💔

@svsalserenity4375Ай бұрын
Yeah I hate heavy out boards ! I picked up a Suzuki 6hp 4 stroke . It weighs 53 lbs and has the gas tank on the top . No cans in the boat . If I’m going a long way I carry a little extra . But it has great range from the tank for 99 percent of the trips .

Hey Zack and Lindy... glad to see you back! Daryle A. here, i also have a T37 (1981) hull 306, Rambunctious. Pretty close production to yours. Been working on here for a couple years now, prepping for our Caribbean retirement. Got a question for you... when i got her, the shower sump was missing, and the drain hoses were cut. could you maybe post a couple pictures of your shower sump setup? i dont want to keep draining the shower into the bilge. I would be happy to send you my email addy if needed. thanx in advance.
@FunonholidayАй бұрын
Hey Daryle! Yeah, shoot me an email at zmdunc @ Gmail . com and I'll reply with a pic of it. Pretty sure ours is original because it's a crummy open top box with an inlet and an outlet on it and a float switch in it. Basically anything would be better than it. Lol. But, it does fit the space which is what matters, I guess.

We had the same ride on the boat lift in CC back in December 2019. Fun but also very weird being on a 35 ton boat, floating in the air. I think CC is one of the best boatyards I've been on, loads of qualified companies on the yard. A chandlery, although not very well stocked they can order almost anything pretty fast for being in Grenada. Okay the yard is a bit dusty/dirty but there are pretty nice showers and toilets and the bar/restaurant is very nice.
