Today, Elizabeth at the Charismatic Voice, did a vocal analysis of 'Hook'. Someone mentioned in the comments that the song was built off Canon in D by Johann Pachelbel. He composed the very catchy canon somewhere between 1680 and 1706! I went searching for a video of someone who combined the classical with the Blues Traveler song, and here I am. Very well done, Mr. Smith! Bravo!

Spring is good as is it's meant only to lift nothing else what he needs is rebound from a real piece of heavy steel for the hammer to strike that being said everything other than that is dope

I already thought the ironically mocking lyrics made this song great. Then today, i was playing it and realized it had to be written to cannon in D. And I thought somebody else had to notice this, so I searched and found this video. Good ear.

with both hands yes, but you have to hold something you're forging. By one hand? maybe you hit it twice and u gona be done :D

The point is you can use both hands to move your work, and the treadle hammer can use a much heavier hammer. Most smiths use 2-5 lb hammers, any heavier and your arm will start to weaken.

Primary point is the ability to use top tools, top&bottom tools, punches, chisels, etc. with greater control and ease.
