The point of the box is that from there you can take most shapes out of the box, like cilinders to the round parts of the bodies, the basic shapes is to understan how the body connects and from there and practice you will get the hang of it and do it with out shapes and thats what any artist want to archive

not to sound like a racist but if you want to draw let an japanese teach you, if you have a hard math problem let an Indian/Chinese help you if you want your house fix or remodel let a Mexican do it for you these races are the best at what they do
