I like how every other sticker was upside down. So weird to see QC go in both extremes on the same toy

What a funny figure set. I'm shocked I never saw this during the Phantom Menace hype of 99. And yeah wtf is up with Obi Wan's face

Funny, The thumbnail shows just the lower half of the Bus! My initial thought was what a poor excuse to sell half a model. Thankfully Corgi did include the top too....👍

Vintage... Not even close. It's collectable. It's rare. But it's not vintage, and it's not retro yet. The youngest retro console is the PS1. PS2/OG xbox will be considered retro in about 5 years

I've never been that interested in decorative plates but that looks pretty cool. Tom Baker was my era and I always loved Michael Wisher as Davros. I'm tempted to add this to my collection.

The 2 movies were Thunderbirds are go! and Thunderbird 6. Thunderbirds 2086 was a Japanese cartoon not related to Gerry Anderson. Also Lew Grade was the British boss of ITC. Sorry to point out the inaccuracies!
@midastouchtoys3 күн бұрын
No problem, if I have made a mistake during my jabbering, it’s right to point out any errors. You are correct about the movie tittles, I can’t think why I got that wrong, Lew Grade was also responsible for selling the series to the US, and obtaining US financial backers. He believed it was easier to obtain financial backing for a new series rather than an existing series which is why the series was cancelled and Captain Scarlett was produced. Thanks for sharing. 😁😁

I have this, sitting on a shelf. One evening, as I sat watching the telly, the VWOOOORP VWOOOORP started going off on its own. It did it a few times and I told it to be quiet. I then picked up the channel changer to, er, change channels, and at that exact moment David Tennants voice opined, from the money box, "it's a remote control. Buts what's it controlling?"

What a superb book and as you say very very rare I'm a Gerry Anderson memorabilia collector and have been for a long time and I've never had a copy. nice accurate details. Question. Do you think the 2 ships numbered SF-210 11A and SF-210 113 from spot the difference were Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's inspiration for the Eagle Transporters and Nuclear waste disposal carrying Eagles as there seems a lot of similarities just wondered keep the proper vintage toys coming thanks.👍

The Eagle isn’t celebrated enough for its very great radius of influence. I started buying it towards the end of its life (1994, when I was 9). But I used to spend lots of time around junk markets in Glasgow, and accumulated a couple of hundred of the 80s run including no.1. Only a few weeks ago, a friend of mine was looking through the ruins of the old wash-house in my garden - and found a tea chest full of them, and some annuals. My favourite stip was The Fists of Danny Pyke, which got me into boxing, which I still participate in now! Thanks Eagle!

The Bandai Tracy Island 2004 version is somewhere between a happy meal toy and a playset. There's some effort put into it but it's a little small, and cheap in terms of it's design. I remember being a wee bit disappointed when I got the Bandai 2004 Tracy Island when I was 9. The Vivid and matchbox Tracy Island had allot more depth, play value, and scale to them.

I had the original version without the diving keepers around 1973 and a little later the moulded pitch version with diving keepers. My dad and I had great fun playing them and one thing I learned early on was to not hit the top of the head too hard as two players had career ending injuries on their ankles. Still have a couple of photos of me playing the original version.

@midastouchtoys21 күн бұрын
What!!!!!! Are you for real? You are complaining about a few minor issues with a 54 year old annual!! That’s the Joke. These videos are for people who appreciate vintage toys and collectibles from their childhood and understand the concept of vintage. If you think it’s a joke, then don’t watch it!!!!

Mine was red. I also had it for Christmas and as I recall, mine also said, "What are your orders ?" more than any of the other phrases. It drove me mad. I'm sure mine was "blown up" by my Airfix models , meeting a very fiery end !
@midastouchtoys21 күн бұрын
Oops, that’s a shame. But that does appear to be the phrase that comes up more then the others, maybe due to how hard the button is pressed, but not sure. Still a great vintage toy from yesterday. Thanks for sharing 😃😃😃

Worst copies ever , are they legally allowed to use the corgi name ? Original corgi toys are fantastic but these from this so called corgi model club are terrible , i could never associate this lot with the name of the true corgi toys
@midastouchtoys21 күн бұрын
Really, wow, I am surprised. I think the reissues are very good, not as good as the originals I do agree, but maybe that’s being nostalgia from our childhood, I don’t know. But they are acutely represented from the original Hornby designs.
@Lumibear.23 күн бұрын
I remember this! I loved mine as a kid, even though I had a few issues with the casting. I didn’t mind the funny stretched bumps on the skirt, but the flattened head bothered me. I recall I painted the dome lights bright orange with Airfix paint. It helped.
