This game is a great tool for facilitation. It's low-risk and breaks the ice for introverts. Nice!

I've never thought of using fingers as stunt doubles, that's a great idea! Mostly I've used them for long shots or to play with size (a tiny person on the shoulder of a giant). Thanks for sharing!

Glad to hear your "ah-ha". In a world were we want to create physical safety on stage...having your fingers do the physical actions can be liberating. And audiences are use to CGI...so they'll go with it.

Thank you for the note. This one is good for so many reasons. It is similar to the mask work I teach....the mask gives us permission to be bolder. Thanks again.

This game is a perfect ice-breaker and/or kids game. Everyone knows how to let their fingers do the walking!

Yes it is. Thanks for the thought. And I love the 'old' phrase, LET THE FINGERS DO THE WALKING!

Have fun! This can be so much fun. You may have to prompt the players to speak in the first person as the object. And the thing we are really interested in - is the relationship between the object and the person. Enjoy!

Good! Sharing with my husband, who can't seem to get his colleagues to turn on their screens in the meet... guess he's too intimidating?! He should start, and share something personal, maybe even vulnerable and/or silly right? Or make mistakes while doing it.. crossing fingers he'll actually try it! Ah, we might also use it in the undoubtedly upcoming Xmas/Silvester/holiday family zoom calls... cheers William, hope you are OK =)

Thanks Tess for the comment. It is a challenge to 'get' people to turn on their cameras. Finding value in seeing each other so that people want to turn on their camera is the goal. Simple show-and-tell activities are low stress and increase rapport. Your comment is spot on. Hope you are well Tess.

William, I've played this as an instructional game too. When prompted for color, we specified WHAT type of descriptive parameter would be used. E.G., Smell, Sound, Numerical, Visual, How something felt (Kinesthetic). It's challenging but really fun to play. Thanks for the performative version of it.

Thank you for this variation to the activity. Perfect for building strength in different types of color. Thanks 'What"!

Meta-cognitive activity. Yes.! If we all spent a bit more time thinking about thinking, the world would be a better place. My philosophy is to not believe everything I think. This is where "trickster" activities ("jolts") can be particularly helpful. Thank you William and Thiagi for provoking and championing thought.
