Thank you again my library doesn’t have the unabridged versions yet!!!!!!!

I should honestly have figured out the plot early on, so... spectacular.

This is not 'Kyf Brewer', actor/narrator, musician of note, narration!!! They...whom ever they are, wrongly listing this lamentable 'AI' voiceover as 'Kyf Brewer', whose gravelly deep voice always elevates any novel/text. He is one of my favourite gifted narrator, together with David Suchet and Dan John Miller. 🤩🤗💃

I listened until the narrator voice was sped up. From then on the book had all the charm of a AI narrative.

In the meantime I learnt something unexpected: the ghastly reading is probably compliments of AI... 😂

The voice is pleasant enough. Alas, the reading is utterly dreadful: the intonation is totally wrong, a singsong without comprehension. Ages ago I was introduced to Barbara Cartland novels in instalments on radio. I got hooked and bought many books, which I no longer have. In was wonderful to find at least one audiobook (so far) - if only the reader could learn to present it properly.
