I can understand not having any patience, but I don't think you need any formal musical knowledge etc. Any way, it was just a thought. I really envy people like you who can learn how to play from listening to records, for my part, I'm a complete retard when it comes to learning without tabs. I'm trying to learn Sleepwalk by Santo and Johnny at the moment, so i'll probably be able to play it around 2025 or so. Cheer's Chris, and keep your head down lad.

For me it's important. If I decide to teach people smth then it's my responsibility and I should be the right level teacher, but I don't think I am. I mean I can show some stuff, how do I play it, but it's pretty primitive and I'm not always able to explain the details. Anyway thanks for sharing your thoughts and thank you for the kind words 🙌 Good luck with the Sleepwalk. Nice composition 👍

damn, Chris, you sure can play. Have you ever thought of doing some lesson video's like Damian Bacci or Randy Richter on your guitar songs. Hope your OK. Cheers.JB

Thanks John. I thought about it, but have some doubts + have not enough patience and passion for making this video lessons. Maybe due to I'm a self taught guitarist and 70% of my skills are semi self discovered (if I can tell so 🤣😜) which is faraway from musical grammar, solfegio ect.. i even don't use notes or tabs. I know some basis from my parents (I have a musical family) for sure, when I was a kid they taught me how to play piano, I know some chords, keys, duration form ect, but my way of understanding how to play music was built on listening and picking it up from the tapes + couple times I've seen how to play finger picking on a video cassette and one of my older friends, who played guitar in neo rockabilly/psychobilly band Shaking Guts showed me the pentatonic, when I was about 16 or smth.. that's it. Everything else was discovered and learned by myself in my own way, which works somehow 😃 But I'm not sure if I would have enough rights to teach anyone, being not educated musician in a proper classic way.

PS + being a teacher is a special gift/talent, you have to know how to explain things very well, but in my case I play/understand lotsa stuff subconsciously and guess will feel myself same as a dog 😃 able to understand a lot but not able to say a word

what happened to the old band members?
@boppill Жыл бұрын
You mean previous line up? (There was several members even before them) We have broke up in August 2019. Could not stand being together, cause tired of each other. Some serious personal differences in life preorities and characters. It was complicated to find solution better than that. Talks/chats didn't help. So after broke up we haven't been in touch and don't chat. Maybe except couple strange dialogs between me and Gluk and between Rebel and Gluk. No one is in touch with Ozzy. And do not really want to. We had some really great time together and it was awesome, but in some moment it turned from friendship into a partnership and we became more closed or even toxic to each other which was absolutely unacceptable for me. The WiseGuyz were stopped as a band. But since couple months, after some rest, I decided to reborn the WiseGuyz with another members. It was about November 2019

Thanks for letting me know. The reason I asked was I first became aware of the Wise Guyz through your 2019 Waldorf concert video. You all seemed to have great chemistry on stage . Ever since I discovered you, I have become a fan of your music. I have been a fan of Rock and Roll for over 40 years now. I think you are a fantastic guitarist with a great persona on stage. Two things i would like to know. 1, how is the whole Ukraine/ Russia conflict affecting you ? and 2, I absolutely love your song "Naked Beach", and was wondering if you had any tabs for it as I am trying to learn Rockabilly guitar. Your song has superb riffs. Anyway, Keep on rocking and have a good new year, and I hope I'll get to see play live someday. Cheer's lad.

@@JohnBlair-p2z yeah you're right, we had this chemistry on stage even being in not ok relations, that's actually what held us so long. Everyone for themselves behind the stage and together during the show. It was weird, but worked somehow some time. Until it became extra uncomfortable. Thanks for your kind words, it's a pleasure to know you dig our band. Cons your questions 1. I can't tell about the ex band members, cause we are not in touch, but for me personally this war surely has affected. Lotsa stress, lotsa friends from r-n-r crowd became soldiers, some of them dead or officially lost on a front. I'm texting you while we have an air raid alert, so it means that there's a risk of falling missiles in my home town and maybe even in my area. The border is closed (for men) and you can't leave the country, at least without special permission which is a pain in the ass to get. Bureaucracy and many complications. First 5-6 months since full-scale invasion of russians I was a volunteer and helped some civilians with delivering food, water, meds and household products. Later I switched on support of our army and started to play gigs, collecting money for different needs like meds, tourniquets, sleeping bags, uniform, starlink stations, ecoflows and many other stuff. Music was always smth special for me, like №1 in preorities, but after invasion it became something useless and only since 5-6 months we started to play step by step and combine things that we love with things that we all have to do (support our defenders). Today after almost 2 years of this hell I feel exhausted and it's pretty complicated before each gig to switch from reality to positive rocking vibes to play music. We live in mood waves all the time. There's always smth which can spoil your mood and it's pretty hard to basically enjoy the whole day. Maybe this mode is ± ok for a week or a month, but 2 years is too long. It affects the spirit, mood, inspiration and many other important things which are the parts of the key of making music and living life with the joy. I'm thinking of a little pause, to take a rest, to charge, to get hungry for music, cause I afraid to burn out. We understand and we see/feel how is necessary our music in different aspects. For civilians, for soldiers, for donations, but unfortunately it's harder and harder each time to start the show, knowing what happening about 140km from us. 2 Naked Beach and all other songs were recorded on CDs/vinyls and that's the only fixation we have. There's no notes or tabs. I don't use it, cuz I'm a self-taught musician, which use ears, memory and eyes, watching the guitar neck. I would gladly show it to you, if you were somewhere around with guitar, but can't help you with the tabs, sorry mate

Chris, I really hope that that bloody conflict will be over soon so that you can get back to some sort of normal life again. I can only imagine the awful time you and your country must be experiencing at the moment. I , personally feel, how ever, that 2024 will be the year when it all gets resolved one way or another, so don't lose hope or your spirit, and keep your head down, and you'll get through it. You better, because I plan on seeing you perform here in England one day. I hope that you had a good Christmas and new year regardless. Cheer's buddy. John B
