I identify as a two spirit. Being two-spirited and being bi-gender in their simplest forms, are near identical, but without simplifying two-spiritedness to such an extreme, they are very different things. For one, "two-spirit" or some variation of the term has been an accepted third gender identity in indigenous cultures for longer than can be recorded. A two-spirited person feels as though they are both a man and a woman, and there can be fluctuation between which they are feeling more from moment to moment or day to day, much like being genderfluid. Being two-spirited is distinct from being non-binary because we do not identify as between male and female, but as both. It is distinct from bigender due to the rich cultural history.

I remember hearing about this campaign for the first time by looking up Adam Lamber pictures on Pinterest and seeing him and his band and dancers all be part of the campaign. Seeing your thumbnail brought me back to 8th grade through high school lol

Since when we became the judges or dictators of how people should act, talk or behave… As a community we moved fast and we conquered so much. Gay rights. Civil rights. Human rights. As humans we are lost, confused and judgmental. As people, focusing on masculinity or femininity of a man or woman, we haven’t progressed at all. I don’t even want to start on the toxic, violent and sometimes racists behaviors inside our own community…

This was a really good and nuanced video. I am absolutely on the political right, but I believe banning or censorship is not the way to go. You should be exposed to multiple opinions and you should never get stuck in an echo chamber.

This movie was far too deep for our conservative society and in many ways it still is. The fact that it was portrayed in the media as "the gay cowboy movie" rather than as an exploration of masculinity and the transgression of social norms just proves that statement. It is a beautiful and tragic love story in my opinion though, and I still feel emotional when I watch it nowadays. It deserved all of the praise it got and not really any of the criticism--Ang Lee came as close to making a perfect movie as one can get, really

It sucks to be a woman. I can see why she’d want to opt out. But the biological reality remains. When I called myself “he/him” it didn’t stop me from being vaginally r*ped. So am I really a man if that happens? Why should my role model be a person who tells me they aren’t a woman but who has all of the same struggles that women have?

The author of this video is lying, this book was made available to many middle schools around the US with children whose ages range from 11-14. Including Katy independent middle school out of Texas, Fairfax County Public school out of Virginia, Waukee community school district out of Iowa. Including many more. Stop lying.

Mr. Perlman ruined his son's life by pushing him towards Oliver with his subtle and sometimes open support to this exploitative relationship. No sane parent would do that. Elio was just discovering his sexuality and to push him to this side of the pendulum is wrong. He could have ended up with Marzia and have a lovely family. But he is now stuck with this obsession for Oliver, lonely and sad even 20 years after that fateful summer. All the while, Oliver is happily married, has a caring family and a settled life. Elio was guided wrong, intentionally misguided by his father specially and the universe was just unkind to him. The way events unfolded were not at all productive for him.

Removing books, from school libraries, that depict and describe oral sex, gay sex, or any sex is protecting children, and preventing a waste of money. Trans kids will have to wait, like everyone else, to waste their time and money.

Haven't seen anything from you for a while, Gui. Great to see you back and I hope alls well for you. :) When I first saw the preview for Love, Simon and the movies, I knew I'd have to go see it. I loved it so much I saw it three times at the movies. Okay, given that I was in school in the 90s, it was very unrealistic, but I didn't care. It made me feel good and I cried. I will never not love this film. The moment in the car where he comes out to Abby in the car sent shivers down my spine. The look on her face when he pulls over, she almost seems concerned he's about to make a move on her, but she reacted beautifully. "Do you want me to be surprised?" *pause* "I don't know". Onions!
