Not perfect...but Thanks. Just trying to keep good technique, so not as likely to get injured.

Lower the weight and get your hip crease below parallel. You are skipping the hardest part of the movement.

On the squat try to go to or below parallel. Youll probably need to lower tbe weight significantly but itll help prevent injury. It seems like a lot of this might be due to poor ankle flexibility. Your knees should be over your toes.😊
@leeneef13723 ай бұрын
Thanks for the advice. Do you compete in powerlifting?
@Dontatmeywah6793 ай бұрын
@@leeneef1372 no problem. I'm just an amateur lifter, but I used to have those habits as well. I've transitioned to learning more about longevity. I really recommend checking out kneesovertoes on KZbin.

Pretty good, but I think your about a little bit shy on depth. I wouldn't be surprised if that kind of depth would get red lighted in meet environment. Keep in mind crease of hip breaks top of the knee. Keep it up!!

Never made sense why people use the safety bars and use clips. Are you really afraid the plates are somehow going to fall off during your lift?
@leeneef13726 ай бұрын
Just habit.
@MrLeeLifts6 ай бұрын
@BazonkMadonk nothing wrong with using the safety bars. But why use both, when the safety bar will save you. If you didn't have the clips you could just dump the weight
@duke6056 ай бұрын
Very good. Not sure if you're doing a working set or PR set, but if it's a working set you should go deeper and hold for a second to get maximum pec stretch and to prevent tendon elasticity from assisting and robbing the muscle of those sweet sweet gains

I like your homemade power rack. I just bought one for a couple hundred bucks on Amazon, what kind of wood did you use? What's the max weight you'd ever put on there? I've never seen a wooden power rack.
@leeneef13727 ай бұрын
It's just some 2x6 pine bolted and screwed together. I've had 500lbs on squats before. I've dumped the weight a couple of times on squats, but it only bent the safety bars...didn't damage the rack though.
