Everybody reading and viewing this should know this boogie figure. I'm glad to be reminded of it. Work all or part of it into your blues playing. I know I will.

I sing that one with my band Phil. But Fats Domino only sang the one verse/chorus! So, I've written two other verses in order to fill the son out !!! It seems to work well enough... I hope to see you at Ddmarton this weekend 😊 😊😊

Why when I put my finger on a string it doesn't make any noise…No sound comes out except the sound of a blocked string 🙁🙁🙁🙁
@PhilDoleman22 күн бұрын
That could be a lot of different things. It's important that you use the fingertip to press down on the string, so that you don't accidentally touch the strings next to it. It could also be that you aren't pressing hard enough (you shouldn't have to press too hard, but if your ukulele has the strings set very high off the fingerboard, then you'll have to press harder). Oh, and do you have long fingernails? They will stop you from pressing with the right part of your finger. Hand position is really important, you might find that this video helps... kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaHImJqCec6WY5o

@@PhilDoleman Thanks for answering me and I personally think I don't press hard enough on my ukulele because the strings are very hard 😅. Now I know to press harder, thank you !

Great fun, and great performance/tutorial. A fun song to learn. I'm old enough to remember Arthur Godfrey's TV show. I've played guitar and uke a very long time and I don't recall ever using that inversion for Eb7 or D7. Good to know. Barry at Got a Ukulele reviewed the Klos baritone last week. It was very impressive. It has a great jazzy strumming tone and looks indestructible. You made it sing.

Hi Phil This is a terrific version of a classic jazzy tune. Thank you for mapping it out and explaining it so carefully. You pass from the simple to the more complex version with ease. Great stuff! Regards from your Gran Canaria fan club
@BaritoneUkeBeast4Life26 күн бұрын
Thank you sir for this wonderful tutorial. I have never heard this song before and find it very soothing yet upbeat and fun. I can't wait to start practicing it. I also recently acquired a Klos Baritone Uke, and it has become my favorite daily uke to play. I even prefer it over my Baritone Kala's and my Flight Aurora. The only regret I have with the Klos Baritone is that I didn't upgrade like you did on the Ratio gear tuners. The stock ones are not very good as they tend to be too loose for my taste and need to be tuned a bit more often. My Klos Tenor has the Ratio gear tuners as stock and they are the best tuners I have ever used.
