Thanks for this, your video helped me locate the alarm module - rather than reprogramming I just opted to disconnect mine entirely as they're so problematic!

hi ihave e36 97 318is ihave factory alarm but i only have key not fobkey and the alarm doesnt work what i should to do

Mostafa Farran I think you can buy the fobs on eBay from time to time, but you need to make sure it's the right alarm. Unfortunately there seems to be a number of different ones.
