How is it that Josh kicked Nick out for being violent, when he has a long documented history of violent behavior himself? Look up what he did to Blag Dahlia at a Dwarves show. There's got to be more to this story than what we've been told.

In the late 90s I had my favorite Strung Out shirt on with the pentagram. Some junkie punk chick came up to me, not knowing Strung Out is a band, let me know she was the Real strung out one and I didn't know anything about heroin. That was strange.

DAMN what a great video! Even though I am a fan of your journalism, this is an AMAZING format that I’d love to see more of. I am too young to have lived through this year consciously (was 3 y.o), but many of these records are my favorite ones ever, because I grew up on this amazing music, raised by my punk rocker father, John from The Биты (the greatest ever Ukrainian punk band). My personal top records are POTUSA, Insomniac, Red Medicine, Big Choice, ….And Out Come The Wolves and Mellon Collie (objectively perhaps the best one), each one of these I’ve listened to hundreeds of times. What a great year it was!

Queers, Real McKenzies, Pietasters, NoMeansNo, Shelter, Jawbreaker.. there were a few more bands that launched albums, but I couldn't fit them in. I'll do videos on Queers and Fear. Not so sure about Surf Punks, but maybe, who knows. I like some of their songs, but not really one of my favorite bands, to be honest

Queers is one of the GOAT bands. I had an honor of recording a cover of Debra Jean for the latest tribute, where each song is a version of Debra Jean in a different style. I did an emo/shoegaze one.
