Obviously you are a very experienced bottle digger and consider this to be a very promising site, but to me it looks like this has been dug perhaps 20 or more years ago as there seems to be a lot of broken stuff. If this is untouched and from the late 19th century I would have expected it to be deeper and covered by a century of accumilated soil/leafmould. I hope I am wrong and that this tip produces hammies, lids and all sorts of goodies etc ...😊

I had a site like that. Used a hand claw. Frustrating because it's mashed down again and again to take up less space. Then gravity too,... anyway, only the super chunky - or lucky survive unscathed.

hi tom the amber bottle with the cup measurements is a cito bottle over here in the states. the stuff was used for canning fruit. You find them in 1920s and 30s dumps. they are common over here.good luck.

Shop window or counter display sign ripper. I wonder what is the oldest tip ever dug and where all the ones pre 1800 are or did they not have them then? The lamp shade is going to look spectacular polished up. The dunno what it is looks to be a door lock plate.

Hello Tom , that's a copper posser, I can remember my friends Mum using one in her dolly tub when I was a kid, they had no mod cons in their house even in early 1960's. Best Wishes from Yorkshire 😊
