What is your difference in latency with powerline and direct to modem wire? Is it pretty much the same or is there a massive difference?

The latency on the modem is 1ms, whereas with the power-line adapter is about 6-7ms.

Looking at these as I currently get 915 down and 108 up with a ping of 6 in my home office directly wired to the fibre hub. Wanting to change my office layout and the sensible way to go is to use homeplugs as otherwise I need to have a cable running around the room. I tried with some 1200mbps rated Tp-link homeplugs and I am getting 250mbps down and 108 up - looks like changing to these with g.hn technolgy isn't going to make that much of a difference to that. 250 plus is of course more than enough for problem free web use etc. but still seems wasteful to lose close to 75 percent of available speed just to have a slightly tidier set up. Thanks for the review.

So what speed SHOULD it be if you connected a CAT6 cable between the Gateway direct to your PC?
@DigitalDebox7 ай бұрын
Having a gigabit broadband plan means I should receive speeds close to or above 800Mbps when connecting directly via a Cat6 cable from the modem to the PC.

There's no subscription plan for this, it works with your broadband.
