Sweet catch! I thought spilt body was just in North America so it was great seeing this. Interesting how the cart lids open away from each other as opposed to the standard American design. Thought this would result in more contamination since there is no barrier but it looks like it works well for them.
@northwestgarbagetrucks23 күн бұрын
Yeah that’s what I was thinking too haha but it works well! If it works it works!

great video if there‘s one thing I didn‘t expect on Yt it would be someone filming garbage trucks in Iceland haha the orange truck is a NTM body. NTM is a Finnish company and they are pretty predominant in the northern European countries so no surprise Iceland has them too. From my knowledge, NTM is quite big in the split body business with them even having built (or still building idk) a RL that is solit into not two but four compartments. Northern Europe from my observation is quite the fan of split bins.
@NZRubbishTrucks24 күн бұрын
Wow, that is super cool! Not only is the rear load truck a split body which is a unique design in its own right, so are the bins! That is really something different. I have so many questions like how long have they been running this kind of setup and if these trucks were retrofitted to accommodate dual streams? The orange truck does seem to be a lot slower than the split body of the yellow one with the bins needing to be emptied one at a time due to the bins being slit too; quicker one would think to have individual bins for each stream. Hope the holiday went well and maybe we are instore for some more overseas treats like this. Great job!
@dickhead042324 күн бұрын
The bins are largely manufactured by Craemer, formerly Kliko. Body manufactured by NTM

Boy that looks nice. While I like my zr arm, I always thought the rest of McNeilus was overated. A segmented follower with a scraper and the fact that you actually have a crusher panel just seems nicer than what I got.
@jimdouglas4160Ай бұрын
McNeilus ZRs are junk. Like you said, the ZR arm is nice, the rest is a tremendous pain in the ass. Sensors everywhere that start sounding alarms if you look at them funny, the "crusher" is useless, follower is useless. We're about to get a Labrie ZR, hopefully the first of many.

Not sure how useful that crusher panel will be? It won’t even crush half of the material in the hopper.
@northwestgarbagetrucksАй бұрын
Haha it’s actually way more useful than you would think 😂
@formerhqtrashdriverАй бұрын
@@northwestgarbagetrucks Interesting that it is useful with that gap. Wish all Labrie’s came with crushers. My Automizer doesn’t have one and it sucks with heavy recycling.
