My favorite compilation yet! Neat to see you caught one of Seattle’s WX64s over at Shilshole Marina/Golden Gardens collecting the compactors they use for trash there. Pleasant surprise to see that included since I’m there every week to get my mail at Dockside Mail haha! Rouge River has always been special to me since I grew up in nearby Salem OR with Heil STARRs. And you can’t go wrong with University Place. Let alone with their best driver and a beastly 320. Great finds, thanks for posting these trucks!

I very much remember the second clip, Dejuan really is the man for saving this. Heiberg had/has a twin to 205 I would use on Saturdays, the sounds and the view of the sliding fork setup General put on them took me right back, granted 10 years after this video. I laughed at the Mack grille, she really must have been abused. Seems slow for an STS too, worn out pump? What kind of schedule/hrs did you guys work at AGG? Lots of overtime?
@ZGeroux
@ZGeroux 11 ай бұрын
I loved 205. It was a great truck. 206 was a pig. She was abused and put away wet. It would have been amazing to get these STS trucks when they were brand new and in their prime just to see how they could truly perform but alas, that was not the case. We did several schedules while I was there. Some guys did 4/10's...I enjoyed working so I usually ended up with just shy of 50 hrs a week. Front load started at 2am and most of us were done by noon- 1 o'clock depending on how the other routes were going and if we needed to help. On downtown, I was usually done by noon.

That part about deleting the videos sounds terrible, glad you could recover this though. Love your description about your take on the job as well - that’s how I’ve always thought of it. I’m still in highschool but idealize this as a career - have been since I was four lol. Also interesting to hear that AGG gave Recology entrance to Oregon, seems like they service a sizable portion of the state now. Heard they’re having their first Oregon state truck Rodeo next year!

Wow that's crazy! A cool feature of the truck; why bring a second truck when the front lift can do it all. I wouldn't think you'd want too many of those bins to collect as it would be a bit time consuming. Great find and very cool close up!

This is sick! I live in Seattle now and was fortunate enough to catch one of CWRRs FLs on commercial cardboard this past summer, albeit at one stop. It must’ve been the same truck featured here with the hopper footage - judging as the cab shield is missing on this one, and it still is in present day lol. Very cool to see this, thanks for sharing! Hoping to capture a full video of the MR in the future, CWRR seems like a neat company!
@ZGeroux
@ZGeroux 11 ай бұрын
So shortly before I left the company, I was training a new guy who had zero waste experience. The Mack was not my favorite to drive (just not a fan) and what made it even more irritating was the cart attachments the owner stuck on the fork bar. You had to raise the arms with the forks out or you'd hit the cab and rip the cab shield off (ask me how I know...I broke the glass on the cab once). So this driver I was training as I was transitioning out in 2016 forgot to curl the forks into the hopper and ended up running into a sign on the freeway and completly sheered the arms off the truck and I'm sure eventually the cabshield ended up getting ripped off the truck at a later point because of the cart attachments (which is why you don't see them on the truck anymore). Anyway, hope you enjoy the backstory. Dave, the owner, was a good guy to work for.

@@ZGeroux someone else owns CWRR now or is it still Dave? I was wondering if they’d be willing to let me do a ride along in the Mack in order to film the distant stops - maybe you know if they’d be chill with that? Very cool to hear the backstory tho!
@ZGeroux

@RecologySpencer Dave still owns the company. I'm not sure if he'd do a ride along. It's been almost 8 years and they've moved locations. I'm not sure where he's based out of now or who he has driving for him.

Wow what a great video. It is cool to see so many different camera angles. Especially enjoyed watching your skills from inside the cab; using the forks to hook the bin out and put it back after emptying along with using all the controls (which I guess becomes second nature). Seeing the bins emptied and the compactor running from the top of the truck was also very cool. Thanks for posting, keep up the good work.

WHITE TRUCK WAS A.TECHNOLOGICAL JUGGERNAUT! They had one white 3000 c/0 that self drove itself-it came with an optional life sized drivers head with cigar / this head rig fit into the drivers window, slightly leaning out! (it Even had a long fake, hairy arm, the hand & knuckles dragging on ashphalt. There was even a scary prototype head with a lit cigar / it had a tape recorder in it- in a.loud tinny voice it would contnuosly say 'hey mac-" or " getouttadahway yah jagoff" Also had the option to "wolf whistle" if a female with baby carriage was picked up on the sensors in dashboard, It never became popular and was canned

@trinketsandtrucksyt so this Stagg and the 2 axle Bridgeport were located in the WOW Warrenton yard which serviced Astoria, Warrenton (recycling/yard waste), Seaside, Cannon Beach and surrounding areas. Recology bought them in 2011 and most of their old equipment was scrapped including this truck and the Bridgeport
