Please keep one screen as "Clean board" and use the other side of the screen for you to do all your moves.

Weierd game by white. Black felt way more natural in the game.

Crazy game. The 3 stones on the right got so much aji in the end. Also, at the end, even with AI variations, I don't see where AI sees life there. I guess they could learn by playing the position vs Katago and becoming mad when Katago lives everytime.

Alex is not having the easiest opponents in international tournaments. I think last year he faced Park Junghwan first round and now Ichiriki Ryo. I guess it will be great experience (and he 's also qualified for another tournament later this year iirc)

Nice to see some Yang Kaiwen games ! I tried to look at his games a few weeks ago because he did great in the tournament, but it was so messy and fighty, that it was hard to follow

Id love that too, this game was crazy impressive control show off, being ahead all the time against Shin who's a monster This is also impressive that he managed to integrate new style all along his career while keeping his own infamous going into yose by 1/2 pt :) too bad he missed k15 sequence...

I find it difficult to tell when you are showing the game versus demonstrating computer variations. It would be helpful if you could make the difference more clear to viewers

Thanks for you commentary. When there is a number on stones it's a variation and not the game but I will think how to make it more clear if it's not.

Beautiful shape in the middle. Looks like both opponents really wanted to prove that there is litterally no point in the center.

Isnt the reason why ai prefers capture bottom left is that even if b can atari the ponnuki, b doesnt get miai anymore for life in the corner, so b doesnt have time to break the shisho and its w take sente in the fight ?

Compared to the Meijin game of this morning, I feel like the top left variation does much more sense here : the influence on top and left side are both way more useful than the Meijin game.

This was such a crazy game. I forgot that I saw some parts on stream, just wanted to play the final games on the board after watching the semifinal yesterday. And it was so nice. I really liked white during the game, and after bot left sequence and what you said about the ai evaluation, I felt like white had no chance. Very nice comeback. Also, the C19 move to capture the stones was really nice, it was very basic, but I didn't see it, I thought it was ko too. When are games 2&3 ? (edit : nvm, I looked at gotoeveryone and saw those were not so recent games)

Very impressive game and final overall. It feels like Byun Sangil gave Choi Jung everything she asked for, and despite that, it was still not enough. Solid play from him.

Pretty cool game ! For the joseki top right, in positions that I checked with the AIs, the L16 move was the blue move all the time, I never seen the placement at N18 first. But I guess, in positions that I checked (it was in the Nirensei), the wall was facing a black side, and the other corner (the equivalent of top left here) was also a black stone, so I guess the fighting looked a bit better for black, and white submitting like in the game would not build an interesting side like in the game.

I'm only 3k, so maybe you can indulge me. Considering the the top turned into a problem for black, could he have pressed a couple of times at o16 and n16 before playing L4? Would White not answer?
@jr4ya786
@jr4ya786 11 ай бұрын
Move like O16 is something you can tenuki because even if you add one more move there is still aji in the corner. So if you play O16, White will be able bottom side first.
