I wish I could, I never got into it...same principles apply with most sub games though; stay hidden/stay alive, strike and fade as quickly as possible, know your boat and what it can and can't do, and never underestimate the unrelenting nature of the sea!

Yea this was my first encounter with it, had no idea where or how to find it before this. It's a crazy feature of the game, and how it responds...I still can't get over the idea of picking up a ghost ship on radar...

I'm enjoying it a lot! It's mostly base and objective capturing, which is hard for a video series, but it overall doesn't seem like a very long game, I'm already in the end zone area basically.

I doubt they did in 1937, unless they took a small one up with them. Maybe their later planes had some type of gun camera, idk...I've only ever seen Allied gun cam footage. And thanks! :)

Christmas Island *was* occupied by the Japanese - largely because of it's phosphate deposits. At dawn on 31 March 1942, a dozen Japanese bombers destroyed the radio station. The same day, a Japanese fleet arrived, and 850 men of the Japanese 21st and 24th Special Base Forces and 102nd Construction Unit came ashore at Flying Fish Cove and occupied the island. They rounded up the workforce, most of whom had fled to the jungle. Sabotaged equipment was repaired, and preparations were made to resume the mining and export of phosphate. 20 men from the 21st Special Base Force were left as a garrison. Isolated acts of sabotage and the torpedoing of the cargo ship Nissei Maru at the wharf on 17 November 1942 meant that only small amounts of phosphate were exported to Japan during the occupation. In November 1943, over 60% of the island's population were evacuated to Surabaya prison camps, leaving a population 500 Chinese and Malays and 15 Japanese to survive as best they could until 1945.
