I lived in Augusta as a little girl my dad was in the military I just want to know how Fort Gordon faired? God bless all the people in Augusta.

just got internet back by going with 5g wireless after storm pulled cable off my house. From what i can see on the 'net it hit them pretty hard as well. I forgot it's called Fort Eisenhower now. Guess I'll have to go up to Clarks Hill lake and ponder that... ;)

How many people were in your party? $27 I would hope would be for more than one person. I'm guessing this is not a buffet either.

There was just me and it wasn't $27, You may have heard the bill for people in front of me. Not a buffet. At lunch they have a hot bar with food ready to serve. Thanks for watching.

Shealy's is in my opinion one of the best places to go for great food and service. We go about once a month because of the drive from Aiken. Clyde Cones hash in Ridge Spring is very good too. Riley's on Main in Johnston is also a great place to go for good southern food at a good price.

This place like many will go out of business because of the buffet . Why can't anyone learn from the past ?? I have never heard of a bbq buffet . Quincy's , Golden corral , Ryan's steakhouse are just a few that went out of business doing a buffet . I worked in the first 2 and saw the decline .

They've been open since 1969 in a small town so they must be doing something right to be drawing in the crowds that they do, Also, it's one of 3 buffet style barbeque restaurants that I have videos on: Dukes Bar-B-Que Aiken: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHbRhqJ_maynfZo Carolina Bar-B-Que: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b5DNaq2ri6tkf68 Thanks for watching!

Remember going there in 1969. Great hash and rice. My little sister worked there shortly after opening. Used to have loafs of bread and tea pitchers on their tables. Think it $3.00 for all you can eat but sadly still didn't have vinegar sauce like on Joe Poe's place on Augusta Highway.

Miss the hash and rice, can't get here in VA. There is another great place right down the street, Carolina BBQ in New Ellenton.

In the late 50s there were two high school girls, in a small k12 seven miles up the road a bit. Friends for life, but competitors as well. One girl's family name is on a local college building. The other girl's family name is the name of the town where the train is. I married the first girl. What a treat for life.

Passing through, I decided to stop to see what all the hype was about. No, no and no!! I ordered fried chicken with 2 sides. I asked for white meat..and the server gave me the smallest piece of breast I had ever seen. The other staff wasn't too friendly, because they were all Young. I have had better. The barbeque appeared to be dry so I didn't even bother. I guess this is what most people in the area are used to. Not me.. I will keep pushing through. Don't believe the hype...

The onion rings are hand battered, so they are fresh, not frozen and don't have the uniformity of factory made ones. That first bite of steak has flakes of onion ring batter on it. Thanks for watching.
@electrolytics5 ай бұрын
@@randygoesplaces-yh3xd Nonsense. I cooked at an out of the way restaurant in Texas and we made hand battered onion rings. Each and every one of them was a perfectly round ring with a golden brown, crispy batter. Why would you think "hand battering" would excuse poor presentation of onion rings?

Yes, they have good food (that's what other people tell me) but all I ever get is the catfish. I know the beef tips are good because they use the gravy for that to put on rice.
