Not noticeable in a sub 300hp sedan. Chassis braces and such arent necessary until your hitting 375ish hp.
@rmjmotoringАй бұрын
My background is in brakes and suspension, this statement is not accurate. If it was, 200 hp Honda's and Miatas would not be running chassis bracing in SCCA and NASA. These will benefit the larger cars for sure. My Cayman S has bracing, OEM 320 hp.

@arvindprasad244220 күн бұрын
The bigger one does need the o ring. When you remove the old screw, the old o ring won't come out with it. You need to dig it out, place the new o ring, then screw in the new screw. 🙏🏼

So, the heatshield is not able to be mounted back where it was if you want the oil catch can there? I suppose its not the best thing to remove heat shields? How is it running without? I feel hesitant to remove something like that.
@connormink2 ай бұрын
after research, it is actually used for sound deadening and not a heat shield. I ended up removing the foam off the back of the plastic cover and wedging it in place to where it went originally. there should be no difference with or without, just a little noisier

@@bluequadrifoglio6057 i posted a link to the manufacturer website who sells them in the description. it is definitely an essential item to add to prolong the life of the motor. it helps by collecting oil vapors passing through that would end up building up on valves. it has to be emptied every 3,000mi roughly. most manufacturers don't put them in because most people would not empty it frequently as required.

Why even replace them?
@connormink7 ай бұрын
the plastic OEM ones get brittle then crack and break off. If they break, it's practically impossible to remove and you'll need to replace the entire coolant hose. Replacing them with the metal ones ensure they won't crack and break off. A simple screw can save a big headache down the line. Preventative maintenance

LegitCarry i live in michigan where there are no emission laws. it’s probably best to do a websearch on it before you do it. personally, i’d say no because as long as you don’t remove the catalytic converters, the muffler only muffles sound.
