As someone who can’t read cross crease plays for the life of him, the only tip I can give for that far side one would be to get closer to the top of your crease and cut down any angles. Even then, we all know how much effort EA puts into there goalies and helping them… (not much at all)
@bdangles194 ай бұрын
Are you talking about 8:55? I did go down a bit early on the pass to the left wing which restricted my movement when the puck found their RW. 13:25 was me thinking he would one time to the short side, but the shooter had the patience to go across my body. 16:07 I will maintain that the game screwed me a bit. Yeah, my angles could have been better, but I’ve made that save numerous times and the puck happened to hit our defender. I do agree that the game favors shooters and their X-factors over us goalies. I reckon it’ll be more of the same when the new game drops.

I can't read my reply to you, but if you're talking about the Calgary goal, I thought the shooter would one time to the near side, which is why I slid.
@GhostlyGuardian4 ай бұрын
@@bdangles19 I would have 100% done the same without thinking even if I could read the pass, I only say stick to the top of the crease just to up your chances on making the save, that’s all that can really be done in that case. Goalies have it tough, so I respect your willingness to play the position.

@@GhostlyGuardian You're absolutely right. It certainly would have helped. I'm excited to see what kind of cheese is unleashed in '25 for us goalie lol.

If you want to save this channel, I would recommend going vertical live streams on KZbin shorts of you playing. I’ve seen channels with 2 subs getting hundreds of views in KZbin shorts livestreams cuz all it takes is for people to swipe onto your stream and you can get many viewers
@bdangles194 ай бұрын
@@Faulted777Cruise Brother, this is KZbin. It’s not life and death - there’s no saving that needs to be done. If you enjoy the videos, then watch. If you don’t, then don’t. If you’ve noticed, I have posted numerous shorts. This is merely a hobby, so it’s not that deep.

@2:43 -- I wish EA would fix this nonsense. It's so infuriating to be a hockey player and watch the AI do completely irrational shit like this

"Empowered AI" is just marketing gobbedlygook. Like Boom Stick from Madden. The back skating into a late hit animation is what we've seen since current gen began.

Here’s what I’ve been saying the whole time, people keep saying it’s on Rookie difficulty, but there an extremely good chance that it isn’t
@MiroPasic5 ай бұрын
It is definitely not on Allstars or higher . You don't have 3 defenders charging at puck carrier with stick extended at the speed of light or something other that is physically impossible in real life.
@bdangles195 ай бұрын
@@tjalbury3271 is there reason to believe that it isn’t on a lower difficulty? If anything else, the gameplay is manipulated in a way that the gameplay can be showcased. Whether devs are playing one another or the difficulty is lowered, we’re not going to receive these features precisely as they are shown. It’s simply the nature of marketing.

ill tell you the bad news. ive been following your channel for a while, and let’s just say, youtube is messed up. some channels just get into an algorithm dead zone where its pretty much impossible to get in the algorithm and get views. and yours is one of them. unless youtube changes something, there is nothing you can do. sorry. what i would do if i were you is i would just start a new channel with the same content and hope it wont be same results. not trynna be a downer, but its just the truth. ive seen this happen many times and im trying to help

The difference between a good goalie and a great goalie are the numbers example I played a club finals we were both good goalies but we had 8 shots and 5 goals and they had 37 shots and 3 goals we ended up winning that game I put up a .880 and the other goalie put up a .290

Not even a great goalie, you weren’t even on the right side of the net. The animation saved a goal not you horrible positioning
@bdangles196 ай бұрын
Firstly, it’s not that serious, so take a deep breath. Secondly, if you know anything about goaltending in this game, you’ll know that one tee, close quarters, etc. will freeze your goalie if you don’t move in time because the game is already registering that shot as a goal. So, the animation that allowed me to “save a goal” is quite literally the difference since I was initially covering short side before attempting to save the one timer.
@Kingfish956 ай бұрын
Sounds like the shooter had CQ - you can hear the trait activate during the shot. Goalie was probably moving as the pass occurs, but like OP said, certain shooting traits freeze the tendy in this game. Still a nice save to preserve the lead.

You may very well be right 😅 especially with how the postseason matchups are looking at this point. But I well say that this is the best they’ve looked since the Matthews era started. If they can’t elevate their play in the postseason, it won’t matter. 1967 will continue to live on.
