I was thinking the same. Mostly bargain boxes cards $1-$5 cardsI’m going to drop a 2nd video going through a couple of more boxes soon. I haven’t done a deep dive into them yet.

I actually paid him what he asked. He wanted $25 a box. He had 13 boxes but one was pretty much empty. I paid him $25 a box for 12 boxes. Which was the $300.

87 topps ain't worth much but some great rookies that year and very nostalgic for sure. Rookies for Bonds, Bo, Mcgwire (I think that's considered a rookie even though he has the USA team card), Mcgriff, Barry Larkin, Will Clark, Palmeiro. I doubt there's another year with better rookies. Also I'd be kind of annoyed as a seller when people come around with a cam on but you seem pretty fair and treat everyone well. I think the really cheap re-sellers give others a bad rep. If you see this, what app are you using for sold prices? Thanks!

To be honest with you, 95% of the time people don’t even notice that I’m wearing a camera on my chest. As for the boxes, 1987 is a great year for baseball rookies. It’s a fun to open. I’m using eBay sold comps for pricing.

I’m a full time picker. I have another channel (picking and punching) where I just go to garage sales. I used to be a pro wrestler. When I was traveling the country wrestling I would go to garage sales along the way. The channel was about a pro wrestler that was punching and picking his way across America. Thats where the tag line came from.

Who says I’m not a real collector? I still have my original collection that I had growing up. I collect Philadelphia teams Eagles, Phillies, 76ers, and Flyers. I also collect UFC, boxing, and wrestling cards. I will take stuff out for my pc and sell the rest. I will probably use some of that money to buy more stuff for my pc and boxes to open up.

I bet if you nickel and dime them, you would easily make your money and a good profit... great video tho.. Should do a follow up on how the cards sold unless you are keeping them... I mean some of the rookies could get graded and sell for a pretty penny if they get a 9 or 10 grade...

You can make up 2 row (1600ct) boxes of common or semi star and retired player parallels and auction them to get rid of bigger chunks. They usually go 250 range. Easier then taking the time to list a ton of commons that will sit for ages.

Remember, it is up to the seller to determine what the final price is in any transaction. The buyer did very well in this scenario. I still search for a deal like this. The best part for me is just going through a collection like that, card by card, one at a time.

Holy crap. What a steal. All I do is baseball cards. Just seeing the first minute of you going thru this I knew This was going to be an amazing score and after he said the price I was shocked. Just so you know. A 5 row box of base bulk goes for 25-30$. The empty box itself costs $7

I’m recently getting back into cards over the last year. I was shocked to see what those 5 row and 3 row boxes go for. Shops around me are charging $8-$10 for one of them.

Amazing value. That being said, You screwed that guy over, and now the world knows it. Anything less than a grand, and I couldn’t have done it in good conscience. You knew that if You took a deep dive, the price would keep going up. Smart yard sale tactic. But to underpay SO DRASTICALLY knowing what was in front of You takes this out of the realm of a good deal. How many cards were there, 3000 plus? You would have still made $$$ giving the guy $.50 a card. All those quirky little odd cards You seem so in love with was worth the $300 TO YOU for your pc. They don’t have a ton of resell, but they are dear to You. That’s a win, and about 1% of what You bought. The $10,000 in resell value for the other 99% of the stuff is where You screwed the guy.

I’m just seriously started to get back into cards in the beginning of the year. This deal was purchased a couple of months ago. I haven’t been selling any cards online or on whatnot. I’m about to do my first show next week. I knew there was value here but I honestly didn’t know how good it really was until I started to go through it. Even though they are low end cards, at a $1 a piece I will do well. It’s just going to take a ton of time and hours to go through to sell it all. You are right, I should have paid more. Hindsight is 20/20 sometimes.

$10k? Where was there 10k worth of cards? Half those boxes appeared to be just base stuff with no real value but selling in bulk lots. The box on the ground with the sets the guy already said he pulled out the rookies and stars. Most of what he showed were $1-$10 cards.
