Nice meeting you bro! That last session made the day worthwhile because morning kinda sucked. You guys drove great. Great job pressuring Raf into a mistake! Hahahahaha I love the ZL1-1LE. I can go rip at the track, take my daughter on weekend rides, commute, and take the old lady out for a drink. One day I will have to pony up the cash and get a dedicated race car and flatbed it to the track. We’re really on that type of pace now. Given how capable the ZL1 is from the factory, that thing should have a roll cage.

this was awesome dude. you do really damn well on them turns. if you don't mind me mentioning, there are a few ways for camera stabilization whether its a camera itself, an accessories, or a software, just for better quality since the car shakes so much. but ill watch either way, glad this was recommended to me!

Thanks! For some reason, I had my headrest mount unclamped and it was a little more shaky than usual. You're absolutely right, there is stabilization that can settle the vids but I'm not a fan of it because it makes the vids appear slower. I prefer the rattle of the camera because it maintains its element of speed and you can almost feel the turbulence in the cabin. Test my theory...... watch a vid with stabilization, and then come back to watch mine. My vid will appear much faster. I appreciate you watching! Thanks for commenting as well.

There are definitely a lot of damn good ZLE drivers on KZbin, but you absolutely stand out in how you consistently wring that monster’s neck. Awesome driving, sir! This really just continues to show how much of a dominant, oppressive weapon the ZL1 1LE is on track, when you can keep pace with a 992 GT3 RS in real life, not just looking at spec sheets and lap times. The Z06/Z07 is a machine, but THIS is GM’s most hardcore track car, full stop.

Thanks man! Honestly, I need to muster some more courage and try this again with all the Traction Control nannies off. With the TC off, I hope to pick up another 1-2 seconds per lap.
@danieldickerson4838

@@Turbo329 That’s interesting, especially with how aggressive Race-2 is, that it’s still pulling/managing a bit of power and torque coming out of turns. I don’t doubt that you’ll pick up a solid 2 seconds per lap once you’ve gotten comfortable enough with everything off!

It was definitely a fun session and I was running a mix of E85 so it probably landed around E40. I got right up on his bumper a couple of times and I knew he would punch it when the road straightened up. In all fairness, I do the same thing before I give a wave by. If I put distance between us and you close it down, I'm giving you the point by. My passenger got nervous a couple of times when we closed up on him. By the time I got up to the Z06 towards the end of the vid, my brake pads started to fade. So I waved him back around on the lap that I pitted. I think for me this was the best session of the day.

I have a 2001 E11/ E2. Gotta say I really dreamed of having a fast bike from a young age. Never thought it would be a Kawasaki! Though when legal, at 16-20, my obsession became enduro bikes. It was much cheaper at that time. I liked that mix, off and on the road! Having a family that owned bikes was obviously for me, a massive influence. I have to say that the ZX9 is absolutely beautiful. I'm an old-school carburettor bike rider. I've never owned a bike with ABS, traction control, and all that jazz! (Slack Jaw Faggots)😂! Seriously, the ZX9 is ridiculously insane! A bike that will be very unforgiving if you don’t give her the respect she deserves. An absolute dream when you gel with her❤ We met in 2006. I fell in love during the test ride. Feisty, a keeper.

I always fit a 50 micron inline fuel filter. For winter storage I run my carbs dry, remove fuel pipe and fill carbs with 10:1 gas oil ratio. When the gas evaporates it leaves a nice coating of oil on all the carburettor parts which stops varnish or ethanol damage.

@Turbo329
@Turbo329 5 ай бұрын
I'm not sure yet. I went back yesterday to run the 3Rs but the track was ice cold and I couldn't get heat into them. I drove terribly as a result. In the morning it was sunny but only 40*F. In the afternoon it was 50*F but overcast so the track actually got worse in spite of the higher ambient temp. At some point later this season I will head back with both sets of wheels and do a comparison on the same day. When I ran that 1:26 lap I actually didn't go thru turns 1 & 3 as fast as I normally can. I believe I can probably clock a high 1:24 when I'm all dialed in with clear track. I will say this though...... Although the track is grippier, the stiff ZLE suspension works better now because of the smooth surface without bumps. I was able to get the power down all through the 2nd half of the track where I was weak in the past. It's now honestly time to start thinking about a custom full cage. 1:19 - 1:26 range is Trans Am race times.
