On one hand I agree with you. It sucks that you can't play as any of the other interesting characters that you get to learn and know more about, but in terms of sheer gameplay and story telling, I'd say the game hits it pretty well on the head. That said, in my genuine opinion, if you want a good story, good gameplay and to where you can play all the characters, for me nothing has beaten Dynasty Warriors 7 yet. Where you play as a multitude of characters through whatever Kingdom story you pick.

You get will by defeating enemies brother, I would go somewhere that gives a good amount after each kill and just farm will by killing everyone lol

You may have enjoyed them more as far as difficulty if you fought them earlier on instead of having to go back when you’re already strong. They weren’t that easy back then 😂
