My mom passed away from DEMENTIA IN the nursing home on August 17, 2020. She was a very PERFECT mother. I love the song.

I heard Rick perform this in concert in 1985. It touched me. Now that my father passed 5 months ago, and his chair is still standing there, it moves me.

First time I've heard this song - yes it does hit home - when my Dad passed away in 1996 i looked at his recliner - it's not the same . My dad passed away of esophageal cancer in his throat. Was very hard for me being any only child - Mom was still with me. I still hurt inside to this day. Mom passed away Feb. 10 2018 did not expect it. She was my Best Friend .
