Well, to be fair, my mom lives about 12 hours away so it's not like she comes over and helps with laundry, but when she's here visiting she definitely does!!!

Kids 😂 “it’s just a hose” LOL The totals weren’t nearly as high as I thought they would be! It’s such a blessing to have a full fridge and pantry, I love the feeling of being stocked and ready for whatever! Great video!

I get such a kick out of the kids and their antics. Ha! I think not going to Costco for a month made me forget how much I spend when I go! I cannot do digital lists! Pen and paper for me all the way! Homemade ranch is super easy and super tasty. I want to get into the habit of just making it regularly so I don't have to buy it at the store. The ingredients are slightly better too!

My drivers license weight is also a lie. I also somehow managed to skip getting my pic taken for my license , since… before COVID, my last photo was taken when I was pregnant with my 7 year old!!!!! I drink too much coffee too. And with teens down to 7 year old , I don’t get much sleep either. Was out with a homeschool mom/teen event tonight and I’m writing this at 1 am!!! I should listen to your advice Love ya!

New food rule - don't diet it sounds like you know what to do - if you veer off from what you want don't shame yourself - you look and sound healthy and beautiful so take it in your stride and by that I mean don't get sucked into any diet culture - I wholeheartedly agree with you about sleep and just remember your children see and hear your example just as we did with our parents So maybe try and creatively think of a way you can fit enough sleep into your 24 hours without missing out on the valuable quality time with children of different ages What will work for you will be what you can stick to - what is sustainable for you - we all have different lives so experiment, tweak and see diet as a lifelong work in progress There are some foods I went through a phase and ate everyday that I am not interested in eating now and you may have observed in your family some members tastes change over time Diet is not an exact science and no one else can really tell you what to eat - try as they might I am responsible for everything I choose to put in my mouth for good or bad We all have contributing factors or stressors that make it a challenge (medications, chronic illness, busy lives etc) though at the end of the day it is me that is responsible for how I treat and care for my body Prayer helps Some altenative snacks that may help include apples, protein bars, natural yoghurt, zero sugar cordial, low calorie jelly, tuna with corn, some cooked chicken breast sprinkled with cinnamon salt and a little bit of honey Having a savoury breakfast can also really help It is ok to have a treat even if it is chocolate and even a healthy eater may occasionally overeat It is more about learning how not to binge or at least lessen how often You got this!

Yes, thank you for this! I need to just bring back some good habits that are sustainable. We are a musical family so there are a lot of later nights. The performers don't like to eat much before performing so are usually very hungry when they get home so we usually have late night snacks. I definitely don't need to partake in that all of the time. :-) I need to find that balance between making an effort to be healthier, but not being so extreme that I won't continue. Good for you! I would love to see what kind of alternate treats you come up with to satisfy that sweet tooth. I am addicted to treats too 😂 but pregnancy (and lent) is the only thing that can drive me to watch what I eat. Otherwise it feels hopeless haha.

I will let you know. I gave up sugar for almost a year once and people say that you lose the taste for it....uh, nope. I had no problem going right back. ☺️ I will definitely be attaching some intentions to this process otherwise there's no way I'll succeed.

I've been refrigerating Worcestershire my entire adult life!!! What?!? Both the people who gave us this honey said to keep it refrigerated. We don't keep store bought in the fridge, but "homemade" stuff we do after it's open. Maybe we don't have to though. That would be great. It takes up room and always makes a huge mess!

They are super simple! I also feel so silly for buying them when I know how easy they are to make. I'm sure if I was a refried bean expert I would notice a difference in our easy way and the "real" way, but I'm not and these are just fine!

Thank you so much! Our Ephraem (we never really discussed spelling...we should have done "aim," but alas) was going to be Beckett for a very long time, but at the last minute we changed. Funny story...the 5-year-old at the time asked was his name was (she kept forgetting) and after we told her she says, "That is not a good name for a baby!" Haha! I just said, "Well, when you have your own kids you can name them whatever you want."

I have no idea how I found myself out of dish duty...once kids were old enough it just sort of became a kid job. Now every once in awhile I'll jump in there and do it, but rarely. And I'm not exaggerating when I say that I've never heard anyone complain about it...I'm sure they aren't always thrilled, but in our house we all have chores and everyone just pitches in and helps. Of course the little kids will sigh and complain and try to get out of it, but the 9 and above crowd just takes care of business!

I'm not naturally an organized person at all...but at least a handful of my kids really thrive in a tidy/organized space so I've definitely become more organized throughout the years. I'm glad I made you laugh! I try to keep things light around here...life is too short to be so serious about everything all the time. 🙂

Once I learned how easy it is to do I just couldn't justify buying instant oatmeal of any kind. We make a big pot of regular oatmeal about once a week, but having these to grab and go has been a game changer. We love them with diced apples and little cream!

Such a good deal on the eggs, and the strawberries were gorgeous! My sister loves that olive oil. I hate hate hate vegetable oil. I also use butter in the place of any oil (say in box brownies, I replace oil with melted butter!) Ok mama I would love to see a video how you do everything big family! Do you have an extra freezer? How do you do all the laundry? Just one washer and dryer? Do you have a routine you stick to for chores? Congrats on your boy losing his first tooth! That’s exciting! (Hahaha your money saving tip made me laugh)

My gardening is done in 15-20 minutes increments daily, and yes, it makes a huge difference. I am trying to talk myself into going out to weed right now. Have a wonderful day. I have a Roku and get pandora on the app list. If I am trying to make myself work in the house (which I hate being indoors) it works to set myself a 5 song ritual. I tell myself that I only have to work through 5 songs, and sometimes, if the music feed is right, I will find myself working through a longer stint of songs and getting more done than I planned. Music makes it better.

Agreed, sour dough isn’t worth the trouble in my opinion! My husband LOVES it but I’ve stopped bothering 😂 such a wonderful idea to go outside first thing. Mom always has the right to change things, absolutely! Your home is beautiful, we dream of having a home with a wood burning stove etc. I need your Shepard pie recipe if you have one you recommend, I plan to make it for the first time this month on good Shepard Sunday!! IDK why this video popped up on my feed today, but it sure rings true! I too have kitchen gadgets in our guest bedroom closet. And those gadgets maybe get used once a year if that! It's crazy how much stuff we accumulate and don't use. I'm procrastinating because my day started discombobulated, but I'm going to set a timer for 15 minutes..... I think I can get a lot done!!! Yes! Not only an end-of-March storm, but really the only snowstorm we've had all winter "season." We've had virtually no snow so to go from bare ground to close to 2' of snow was a little much!

You should try to make ranch dressing with sour cream, dill, garlic, onion powder, salt, pepper, and parsley. Super easy and perhaps cheaper? But I'm sure it wouldn't last long around there! We whip it up quick for a veggie or pretzel dip from time to time, and it goes over well!
