Great concert! Elvis had a good ear and could arrange the music as he liked best. So talented and funny adlibs.

This is fantastic! Terrific sound and relevant still photographs from the winter engagement at the Las Vegas Hilton in 1972. Elvis did perform some perfunctory, “mail it in” concerts in ‘71 but by 1972 his winter performances in Vegas were some of his most consistent and good, save ‘69 & ‘70 that are in a class by themselves! I do have the FTD CD Paradise Blvd from ‘72 in Vegas and I’ve heard this version of “It’s Impossible”. For those that might have not heard this version, listen closely. He screws up the words and has the band “start the son of a bitch” again and then just nails a heartfelt and beautiful version of the song that actually ends up on “The Fool” album released the next year. Additionally, this version of “An American Trilogy” was actually released as the single version of the song on RCA records in April of 1972. This version of “Bridge” as Elvis sometimes referred to it is ALMOST as good as the incredible performance of the song from his Boston concert a few months earlier without the reprise. We also get some views of Elvis’s dynamic suits from ‘72 which I think, along with ‘73, are his most varied and beautiful. Thanks so much for uploading this gem! It’s really stellar!

I was in the audience for this concert. I have my ticket stub - $10. Amazing. I was 9 years old. My mother was born and raised in TN and Elvis was beloved and adored by my whole family. At this concert I stood on my seat and watched him through kiddy binoculars and it was pure magic. I am almost 58 years old and I have had a blessed life in a million wonderful ways. I have always loved music and I went to lots of concerts and enjoyed them all. But Elvis was my first and the whole place was filled with love for HIM!! Everyone was screaming Elvis I Love You!! And thats what I remember and what I carry with me - the tremendous amount of LOVE that he generated and we all LOVED him. Pure love. Xoxo Anyhow, someone really does say ELVIS HAS LEFT THE BUILDING and even now I get the chills just thinking about the whole experience. I would like to thank my unique, fearless and truly beautiful mother Linda who made sure I was exposed to all kinds of music but most especially to Elvis xoxo There was always music and dancing at my house as a child. I was a lucky little girl and I still feel that way xoxoxo

This should have been a TV special. I mean Elvis sounds zoned in and focused when Elvis was zoned in and focused nobody was better. When he lost his focus and he was distracted, he could easily be mediocre. That's just being honest telling it like it is. This was a missed opportunity. It could have kept Elvis even more relevant. This was the beginning of 1974 where Elvis was taken off like a fighter, jet. The mid-year and beyond in 1974, however, would begin to be disastrous for Elvis. It was truly the beginning of the end. There was some high moments here and there throughout 74 and even 75 a little bit even in '76. Not much in '77 but this is very nice to hear

Great show the audience sucks. 74 was the last shot at a world tour abd even 74 was hit or miss.

Thankful that my life allowed me to be old enough to understand how wonderful Elvis was when he was alive - the few televised shows we were glued to the TV. It was an event in probably every household in the U.S. - definitely in the area I was in, the South. We paid homage to the King of Rock N Roll in person and in any image we got the chance to! ❤😊

I was 15 year old saw him live in Chicago it was like I swear I saw God walk out at the beginning of the show the applause and noise I didn't hear it way weird I way watching him walk out it devastated my being emotionally I felt God was playing Elvis .True Magical experience and I heard it' happened with allott of fans . It was God sorry but that's how I felt when I saw him and by the end of the show I was destroyed emotionally watching him leave that stage I knew I was back to my life. God created that gift and I felt the gift period nothing else to say .I know what I saw.

To me, this was his greatest show of 1976. It’s a show I first heard more than 20y ago I think on a bootleg cd, and it still warms my heart to know he was still capable of this much passion and enthusiasm by that time !

Elvis’s voice seems strained and a bit weak during this concert, especially at the beginning. Elvis tries to sing his latest hit “Moody Blue” but tears it up and says “The hell with Moody Blue” and does “How Great Thou Art” instead. He does complete “Moody Blue” the next night in Charlotte for the only time ever in concert.

In retrospect I think was probably one of the greatest performances Elvis ever gave in this era. There are more famous gigs in 72 and 73, and this one has some teething problems with the horn/brass section but still it is the best I've heard. A good balance of old and new, introducing new songs and performing them so earnestly. His voice sounds amazing in this gig and is very reminiscent of and very close to the glory of 1970. It's hard to put a finger on the exact reason this sounds so much better. His voice is definitely very clear and with an edge to it. There's no nasal or shaky breathing problems that went on to sometimes cause problems. But overall it's like there's just something in the air too. Confidence, magic, fun, beauty etc.

I was at this performance, I was stage right upper level, not in the nosebleed seats and the thing that struck me the most was his voice I know most people stared him for his every movement but I closed my eyes and just concentrated on the voice. It is the soul searching reminder of why I loved him in 77 until this day of 71 years young.
