How does doing this “extend the shelf life” of those products? 2 cups of baking soda per pound. 48 tsp per cup. 96 tsp per pound containing two capfuls of detergents. Dose: one tsp per load. Means two capfuls washes 96 loads. Are you serious???

Hi Frank, sorry i meant that this hack makes the bottles last longer. I have amended the description to be more accurate as shelf life refers to product expiry. I used to pour an entire capful of Thieves Laundry detergent into one load of laundry. But with this DIY washing powder, I use 2-3 spoonfuls depending on how much laundry and how dirty the laundry is. Been using this DIY powder for several months already. What I like is that I can change the essential oil per batch of powder I make. Do you have other tips to make Thieves products last longer instead of using them up so quickly?

Jules of Singapore Dilution is just that. Introduce less cleaning agents, expect reduced cleaning effectiveness. Whether or not you believe it, science is always right.
