Moonpleco, always worried 'bout the Tankmates! 👍🏻😂 I know algae are Not their main diet....at 0.24 You can see one nibbling on a pleco wafer...👍🏻😊 They also take a bite of mosquito larvae, moussel, or whatever i feed to the basses and boiled spinach or lettuce. I love ancistrus, but did not keep any for a while when keeping snakeheads only. I hope they will breed, tubes are in the tank already. Hey, good idea for the next Video 👍🏻😂 One is certainly a male, You can see the "antler" already.

Ancistrus! Lovely species. Feed them well, actually they don't clean aquarium from algae. Eventually as a additional snacks. Nice aquarium setup. Will you breed ancistrus or only keep them?

Gentle but persistent....this went on for days...Ozzy, the female, appeared not to be ready, but Drago went on, stalking her where ever she went...unfortunately I missed the spawning....Last year i was lucky, they spawned right before my eyes. Now it's tank-business as usual again. 😂

@@Ozzythebichir Please put here more videos with Ozzy and Drago. How they live, what they eat, what are their behavior and customs. They will be youtube celebrities 😃. Btw, very nice names for those living fossil fish. You were lucky to see exact time when they spawned.

Thank You, appreciate! 🙋🏻♂️I'll try to do my best! Seems dezember is their mating time in the year....hope I can separate Ozzy and Drago in an extra tank next year. There are reed eels and snails too in their tank, so the eggs have no chance. Baby bichirs are so cute with their outside gills 🥰 moonpleco , you're my biggest fan so far 😂 where are U from?

Nice looking aquarium, but can they easily achieve air for breathing?

Hi moonpleco, yes they can...there is a gap of about 5 cm from water surface to the coverglass. Does not look to good in Videos, that's why You don't see it. And....If otherwise, you would see only bichir skeletons in my Videos 😂
