The rear sight actually has two apertures, there is a fold down small one in the front of the blade.

Its hilarious you think that case would look inconspicuously placed in a typical country or hunting environment 😂 some bod in camo or green cutting about a field with a oversized briefcase lol....im in just to see where this goes now 😂

To be honest, if i were going to only shoot off tripod or bench, there's a real possibility i might try switching the bolt handle and running the bolt with my off hand. I've seen some lefty shooters doing that with RH bolt guns, and it looked like it was working well. Course, if it turned out i didn't like it, i could just swap the bolt back to the other side.

Just ordered one of these identical to the one shown. Can't wait to try it out. Went for the .177 rather than the bb model.

The shape of the stock as always is wonderful. However the grain figures on modern stocks is terrible. Where has all the wonderful walnut figuring gone from todays stocks?

Thanks. I have a question. I believe the older 34's had barrel droop, and RWS made a one-piece scope mount to compensate for that. Do you feel it is necessary on this model, or will conventional rings work OK?

Why do all you reviewers fail to put the safety on before loading a pellet. I know 6tf lbs is not much but gun safety should be an instinct. As soon as the pellet leaves the barrel safety should be applied.

I ordered lefthanded ergomax in 7x64 with 56cm barrel and hope that plastic trigger guard will be OK. If I'd know that aluminium is an option, I'd pay that extra. I'd like to know if this part is possible to replace afterwards.

Do they still produce this? I know that they’re now illegal in the UK but they’re legal here in Australia.

Can you actually (easily) remove the plastic sight on the front of the barrel, and the plastic one where the barrel opens? It's not neccesary using a scope.

Love my devil in .22, it's a jewel. The dark walnut monte carlo stock (after some polishing and oiling) is probably the most beautiful in my collection of 30+ airguns. Well balanced, not heavy with just the right kind of heft. It shoulders well. Very impressed with the sweet 2-stage trigger too, in a class way above the price point and helping accuracy. The accuracy with the JSBs was rather mediocre until I swapped out the spring for a stronger one (bought on aliexpress for less than 10 EUR). The twang disappeared entirely; I don't remember if I sleeved the spring with a cut pepsi can, but it's an easy thing to do if you feel like it. Just watch a few break barrel tuning vids first so you don't get the spring into your eye. The cocking remains easy and the barrel pivots and locks into place without slack. The tru glo open sights are acceptable, but the gun benefits from a simple 30mm compact fixed magnification scope. Good shooter at 30 meters. If you can put your hands on one, don't hesitate.

Thank you for this video. I worked in a gun shop and the Browning field representative told me Miroku makes a run of the BL-22s periodically as Browning orders, but it is not in constant production. You are lucky to have one! I have a Marlin 39A and am pleased with it, 40+ years now.
