I cut the tip off the seeds with a sharp knife, placed on a wet paper towel in a plastic bag and let sit in a warm dark location. Sprouted in 2 days! This is a great timelapse, thank you!

Some of My Dwarf Sunspot sunflowers developed smaller side shoot flowers. Confirmed. I don't know why some sources say that they are not branching and other sources say they are.

@ADayintheGarden I, for one, am glad to have seen the video. I'm here because I'm trying to figure out how I should propagate the single cutting I have. I think I'll try a different method after having seen this video and finding out in the comments that it wasn't successful for you. Thanks for making videos like this. Thanks for taking the time to show your successful props and less than successful props, and the experience of it all, because it really does help those who are interested in the process of propagating and gardening in general. Everyone's luck is different too, ik that. It feels mean to say it but, to see others' failures, you can sort of feel validating when you see someone else struggling to root something in water. It's all trial and error imo. It's just about trying and trying again. I just decided to leave this long winded comment in an attempt to balance out the negative one. I hope you have a good day and great summer. Thanks again for trying ❤

This is an amazing video. I was searching google for how my orchid always blooms right side up. I usually only get one bloom and find it fascinating that it always orients itself with the 5 petals on top and the missing petal perfectly on the bottom, perfect for pollination. Very erotic flower too I might add 😂 ☺️

I cut below the lowest flower node because flower stems don’t regrow in the same spot as before. If you cut it completely it will be gone forever.

Have you tried tapping cinnamon instead? I use it all the time when I need to and not just for orchids. I use the HP on the roots when I’m repotting any of my plants to kill any bacteria/germs. At least you get a lot of sun where your building is. I only get about four hours of direct sunlight on one side of my building. The rest of the day, all those buildings block the beautiful sunlight.
